Abstract: A method for operating a steering system and such a steering system are presented. The steering system includes a steering wheel which acts on a steering rack via a steering pinion of a steering column, wherein a steering torque is transmitted to the steering rack by means of the steering wheel. Furthermore, a steering assistance unit is provided, by means of which a steering assistance torque can be applied to the steering rack A control circuit with which the steering assistance torque is regulated, is used, wherein the control circuit takes into account the mass inertia of the steering column.

Abstract: A device encapsulates a main bearing of a crankshaft. The main bearing is supplied with oil via an oil supply groove. The device has a bearing seat for the main bearing and on its sides which face toward the crank webs of the crankshaft, has oil channels which are open in the direction of the main bearing and in the direction of the crankshaft webs. In the device, the oil channels are sealed off in the direction of the crankshaft webs by sealing disks which are fastened to the bearing seat.
Abstract: A motor vehicle has a storage compartment which contains a housing and a lid which closes the housing. The storage compartment further has a locking mechanism which has a housing-side closing bar and a lid-side bolt which interacts with the latter and which engages behind the closing bar in the locked state and releases from the closing bar through rotation. The storage compartment is arranged essentially vertically between two rear seats of the motor vehicle, wherein the lid can be adjusted between a closed position which abuts against the housing and an open position which is moved forward. An arrestor hook, which is formed as an emergency securing device, is arranged on an inner side of the lid. If force is suddenly applied to the housing in the direction of the lid, in particular in the event of a crash, the arrestor hook engages behind the closing bar and as a result prevents undesired opening of the lid.
Abstract: A method for operating a steering system, a steering system of this type and a steering device of a vehicle are disclosed herein. The vehicle has a front axle and a rear axle, a slip angle of the front axle being influenced by steering of the rear axle in such a way that the slip angle remains constant over a steering wheel angular range.
