Abstract: A roof arrangement (17) for a convertible (1) has a flexible convertible-top cloth (19) that can be removed by hand and stretched over a passenger compartment (16) between a cowl (9) and a rear end fastening device (18). A supporting bow (26) is beneath the convertible-top cloth (19) and is arranged in the transverse direction (FQ) of the convertible (1) at a distance behind the cowl (9). A tensioning device (32) keeps the convertible-top cloth (19) tensioned in relation to the cowl (9). The tensioning device (32) braces the convertible-top cloth (19) down adjacent to the supporting bow (26) and approximately in the vertical direction of the vehicle (FH) when the roof arrangement (17) is mounted on the convertible (1).

Abstract: A front-end part of a motor vehicle has a front panel with air inlet openings in a central region and lateral regions. A central air-guiding element (14) is positioned behind a central air inlet opening in the front panel and a lateral air-guiding element (15) is positioned behind at least one lateral air inlet opening in the front panel. An air scoop (18) is arranged between the central air-guiding element (14) and at least one lateral air-guiding element (15). The air scoop (18) can be moved between a pre-installation position where the air scoop is spaced from the central air-guiding element and an installation position where the air scoop is placed against or connected to the central air-guiding element.

Abstract: A strap hinge for connecting a leaf to a frame so as to pivot about a hinge axis includes a first joint hinge with a first fastening part and a first hinge part. A second joint hinge with a second fastening part and a second hinge part is connected to the second joint hinge so as to pivot about the hinge axis. The second hinge part is configured so as to tilt about a tilt axis extending approximately parallel to the hinge axis. The tilt axis is defined by at least one contact surface, which is curved in a circle-like shape. The at least one contact surface is arranged on the strap hinge receiving element and is configured to abut against a respective counter contact surface arranged on the second fastening part. The respective counter contact surface is curved in an approximately complementary manner to the at least one contact surface.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an internal combustion engine having horizontally arranged cylinder banks which are arranged on remote sides of a crankcase, which accommodates a crankshaft, of the internal combustion engine, and also having at least one exhaust-gas turbocharger with exhaust-gas turbocharger shaft. In an internal combustion engine of this type, it is provided that the at least one exhaust-gas turbocharger is arranged above the crankcase, and the axis of the exhaust-gas turbocharger shaft is arranged so as to be aligned horizontally and at 90° to the crankshaft axis. An internal combustion engine of this type has particularly good thermodynamic characteristics while being of compact design.

Abstract: A cooling device in an engine bay of a motor vehicle has a radiator and a radiator louver with at least one lamella that controls the passage of a gas flow through the radiator. At least one bypass duct bypasses the radiator and can be closed off by an associated closing element which is operatively connected to the radiator louver in such a way that an opening of the radiator louver generates a closing of the closing element, and therefore of the associated bypass duct, and vice versa. The radiator louver and the at least one closing element are coupled to one another in such a way that, regardless of the position of the lamellae of the radiator louver and the position of the at least one closing element, an at least approximately uniform lift force, or an at least approximately uniform pitching moment, is imparted to the vehicle.

Abstract: For certain medical images, it is important and/or required that a user view all of a medical image at full resolution so that minute, but important, indicia in the medical image are not missed. A computing systems monitor the portions of the medical image that are displayed on the display device, notates those portions that have been displayed at full resolution (or other user-defined display parameters), and provides the user with information indicating portions that have not been viewed at full resolution and/or provides information indicating for which images of a multiple image examination full pixel display has been accomplished. The process reduces the possibility of missing an abnormality in a medical image due to the viewer not viewing a portion of the image at full resolution or using other user-defined display parameters.
Abstract: A cooling device is provided for a battery (1). The cooling device has a housing (3). To further improve the cooling of batteries, in particular of high-voltage batteries for hybrid vehicles or electric vehicles, the housing (3) has a liquid-cooling arrangement and an air-cooling arrangement. For winter operation, a heating unit is integrated.
