Abstract: A lowerable rear window in a folding top has a window which, during opening of the folding top, can be lowered about a horizontal axis into a depositing space of the vehicle. Lateral steering levers which are guided corresponding to the movement of the folding top during opening and closing are used for guiding the rear window. The rear window reaches directly under a vehicle body element without the need for a connection made of a folding top cover between the vehicle body element and the rear window.

  • Patent number: 6349680
Abstract: A cooling device for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, particularly of a passenger car, has at least one radiator, through which cooling water is flowing. The radiator is disposed in a cooling cycle and connected over a supplying pipeline and a returning pipeline with the internal combustion engine. Moreover, a heat exchanger, with which the oil of a transmission is cooled, is provided in the cooling cycle. For spatial and functional reasons, a flow resistance is connected in the supplying pipeline before the internal combustion engine. • Publication number: 20020017262
Abstract: A suction system has an arrangement for utilizing resonance effects and is suitable for an internal-combustion engine having opposed cylinder banks. The suction system has a resonance container which has boundary walls. On the one hand, the resonance container is connected with the atmosphere and, on the other hand, it is connected with cylinders of the internal-combustion engine, the arrangement being provided in the resonance container as a control device which can vary the resonance cross-section, and the resonance container is connected with a feeding device having separate feeding pipes. For optimizing the torque behavior of the internal-combustion engine, the control device is fixed from the idling to a medium rotational speed range in a first end position and, together with the feeding pipes of the feeding device, forms two guiding channels which supply the cylinders the two cylinder banks with air.

  • Patent number: 6345686
Abstract: The drive assembly is formed by an internal-combustion engine which is installed in a passenger car. By means of bearings, supports or the like, the internal-combustion engine is held in position in an assembly space. By means of a wall of a vehicle body, the assembly space is separated from a vehicle occupant compartment. For achieving favorable psycho-acoustic effects, a sound support is provided between the internal-combustion engine and the wall of the vehicle body, by which sound support the engine-mechanical structure-borne sound is transmitted into the vehicle body, specifically for a targeted perception by occupants in the vehicle occupant compartment.

  • Publication number: 20020012574
Abstract: A reamer for the fine machining of surfaces of drilled holes in metal workpieces has a reamer body and at that body has at least one main blade and at least one auxiliary blade, a chip surface adjoining the blades at one side and a chip deflector step limiting the chip surface. That deflector step falls away in the zone of the auxiliary blade, exhibiting an increasing distance from the auxiliary blade.
