The battery installation includes a receptacle installation for providing a receptacle space for at least one battery module having at least one battery cell. The receptacle installation includes an upper part-structure which delimits the receptacle space in an upward and/or a lateral manner, and a lower part-structure which delimits the receptacle space in a downward manner. The lower part-structure herein includes an upper component that is configured so as to be planar, and a lower component that is configured so as to be planar, and at least one reinforcement component that is disposed between the upper component and the lower component and is configured as a hollow profile.

Abstract: A method for recognizing an over-temperature in a region of a charging socket of a motor vehicle without a temperature sensor. A temperature value is detected by means of a temperature sensor at an installation location of the temperature sensor that is different from the region. At least one configuration value of a current operating configuration in which the charging socket is operated is determined, and then a temperature reading for the region without the temperature sensor is generated by means of a characteristic map, which is designed for the purpose of including the temperature value and the at least one configuration value as input variables and of assigning the temperature reading to these input variables.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for sterile filling comprises de-contaminating a needle penetrable surface of a device including a needle penetrable septum and a sealed chamber in fluid communication with the needle penetrable septum. A filling needle penetrates the needle penetrable septum, introduces substance through the filling needle and into the chamber and is, in turn, withdrawn from the septum. A liquid sealant is applied to the penetrated region of the septum. Radiation or energy is applied to the liquid sealant to cure the liquid sealant from a liquid phase to a solid phase.
Abstract: A method for operating a self-driving motor vehicle. A prescribed starting location and a prescribed destination are used to ascertain a driving route. A speed trajectory is determined for the ascertained driving route and the motor vehicle drives along the driving route independently on the basis of the determined speed trajectory. The determination of the speed trajectory includes the following method steps: (i) ascertainment of multiple candidate speed trajectories for the ascertained driving route, (ii) computation of an unpunctuality characteristic value for each of the ascertained candidate speed trajectories, wherein the unpunctuality characteristic value is a measure of a divergence from a prescribed desired time of arrival at the destination, and (iii) selection of that candidate speed trajectory having the unpunctuality characteristic value with the smallest magnitude.

Abstract: A multiple dose syringe has a first valve defining a first valve opening pressure and a second valve defining a second valve opening pressure. A storage chamber in fluid communication with the second valve stores multiple doses of a substance therein and includes an outlet for dispensing multiple doses of the stored substance therethrough. A compression surface is movable between first and second positions and defines a compression chamber between the compression surface and the first valve. Movement of the compression surface in a direction from the first position toward the second position dispenses substance in the compression chamber through the first valve and out of the syringe. Movement of the compression surface in a direction from the second position toward the first position causes substance to flow from the storage chamber through the second valve and into the compression chamber.

Abstract: A fastening arrangement for a rim of a wheel on a wheel hub of a wheel carrier of a motor vehicle. Abstract: A process for producing a component from a fiber-reinforced plastic with a thermoset matrix. The process includes the steps providing a first and second thermoset prepreg layer, producing a cutout in the first thermoset prepreg layer, providing a thermoplastic layer in the semifinished product between the first and the second thermoset prepreg layer in the region of the cutout, and manufacturing the component with a first and second thermoset layer and a thermoplastic layer in the region of the cutout, where the thermoplastic layer is locked between the two thermoset layers. The component may be used in a vehicle, where the component has been produced from a fiber-reinforced plastic with a thermoset matrix by the abovementioned process.
