Abstract: A graft polymer of polyvinylidene fluoride wherein the polyvinylidene fluoride has grafted thereon a polymer of an ethylenically unsaturated compound and a process for preparing such graft polymer by contacting polyvinylidene fluoride with a monomer of an ethylenically unsaturated compound in the presence of a radical forming catalyst while the polyvinylidene fluoride is maintained in the solid phase under conditions for polymerization of the ethylenically unsaturated compound.
Abstract: An adjustable time fuse includes an electrolytic cell with the anode and cathode connectible in two circuits with opposite polarity and a battery connected in the circuits. One of the circuits causes an element of the electrolyte to be deposited on one of the electrodes to activate the cell and the other causes the same element to be removed from the electrode. When this element is completely removed, the internal resistance of the cell increases rapidly. This increase in resistance triggers a thyristor to allow a condenser to discharge through a primer to produce the desired action.
