Abstract: A LED array flash for cameras includes a LED array and a controller. The LED array consists of at least one LED light source with first order lens. The LED light source may be further covered with a second order lens. Thus an oblong or round distribution pattern with uniform light intensity is emitted. The controller is used to control flash modes such as low brightness continuous lighting or high brightness pulse lighting with lighting time control so as to save power and avoid overheating.
Abstract: A miniature stacked glass lens module is disclosed. The miniature stacked glass lens module includes at least one stacked optical glass lens element, a lens holder and other optical element. The stacked optical glass lens element is formed by cutting along alignment notches on a glued and stacked optical glass lens array. Then the stacked optical glass lens element and other optical element are mounted into the lens holder to form a miniature stacked glass lens module. Thereby the precise alignment of the optical axis of the lens in the lens module can be achieved. The manufacturing processes of the lens module can be simplified dramatically and the manufacturing cost is reduced significantly.
Abstract: Ethylene and allyl- or vinylsilanes are efficiently copolymerized by certain late transition metal complexes containing selected bidentate or tridentate ligands. The resulting novel polymers may be crosslinked by moisture when vinylsilane contains groups bound to silicon which are hydrolyzable. The polymers are useful for wire coating, crosslinked foams, pipes, and other uses.

Abstract: A method for capturing carbon dioxide and/or sulfur dioxide from a gaseous mixture using ionic liquid electrospray is described. In the method, the gaseous mixture is exposed to an ionic liquid electrospray plume comprising nanodroplets of an ionic liquid and the carbon dioxide and/or sulfur dioxide present in the gaseous mixture is absorbed by the ionic liquid nanodroplets. The ionic liquid electrospray plume is formed by applying an electric field between an electrospray nozzle and a counter electrode.

Abstract: Permanent magnets or electromagnets or a combination of such magnets are provided to retain a prosthetic device on an extremity or limb, such as an amputated arm. The prosthesis utilizes the opposing forces, which are developed by virtue of like magnetic poles being in proximity to each other, to urge the prosthesis to remain attached to the extremity. The prosthesis is prevented from rotation by virtue of a centering force that is provided by an attachment magnet in the prosthesis being placed between two implanted magnets. A removable mounting ring is placed over the prosthesis to maintain it on the extremity.
