Abstract: The present invention discloses a shared image scanning method and picture scanner thereof. The method includes the steps of: sharing a desired scanning document into image areas; constructing images captured from each image area into a whole document sensing image to be used by the scanner. The scanner includes reflecting mirrors, light source modules and image sensing modules in a frame. The reflecting mirrors are installed in the frame with an interval apart from each other and corresponding to the image areas. The light source modules project lights onto the image areas to produce document images which are captured by the corresponding image sensing module and converted into image signals, and processed by an image processing unit to produce a whole document sensing image signal. Thus, the scanner applying the shared image method of the present invention can complete a document scanning quickly.

Abstract: Highly fluorinated ion-exchange polymers achieve dissolution in aqueous tetrahydrofuran at lower pressures and temperatures than in other solvents, with few or no side products being formed.
Abstract: A particle for use in an electrophoretic display comprises a light-scattering inorganic core and a light-transmissive colored shell of an organic pigment. In preferred particles, the core is titania and the shell is formed of particles having an average particle size less than 700 nm. The particles are produced by treating a light-scattering inorganic pigment with a polymer which adsorbs on both the inorganic pigment and an organic pigment; and adding the organic pigment and allowing the organic pigment to mix with the polymer-coated inorganic pigment.
Abstract: The invention relates to a semiconductor component having a metal-insulator structure (MIS) which contains as basic components a substrate, a layer made of an organic semiconductor material and a dielectric layer as insulator. The substrate and/or the dielectric layer made of an inorganic-organic hybrid polymer is chosen from these basic components. In addition, the invention relates to a method for the production of semiconductor components of this type and also to the use of inorganic-organic hybrid polymers for the production of semiconductor components.

Abstract: A device provided on a space shuttle for docking to satellites, has a linkage with a cone at its distal end and a spreader mechanism, actuatable from the shuttle, with lever spreaders having their proximal ends provided with inward projections towards the linkage. At least two lever spreaders are pivotally arranged at a retaining part concentric to the linkage; the curvature at the distal end of each lever spreader is adapted to the curvature of the nozzle neck of the jet nozzle of a satellite engine. A rotatable sleeve concentric to the linkage is provided below the retaining part. A distal annular portion of the sleeve is formed with respective alternating engaging positions of different heights, and wherein, from the proximal end portion of the sleeve, two pins project that are guided by associated obliquely oriented slide faces in a stationary housing, the pins being provided for setting the adjustment travel of the linkage.

Abstract: The present invention is a process for producing molded parts from a polymeric powder or metallic powder, wherein the molded part has a separation or a void. The separation or void is formed by inserting a separator or void-forming material into the die cavity before, during or after filling the die cavity with the powdered molding material that is to form the pressed part. After the pressed part is formed the separator or void-forming material is removed to provide the separation or void.

Abstract: The apparatus for converting an information signal from a time to a variable spectral representation includes a means for windowing the information signal, a means for converting the windowed information signal to a spectral representation, and a means for weighting a set of information signal spectral coefficients with several sets of complex base function coefficients provided from a means for providing the sets of base function coefficients. The sets of base function coefficients are derived from base functions of various frequencies by windowing and transform, wherein several sets of base function coefficients are provided for one and the same base function for base functions of higher frequencies, wherein the windows for providing these sets are related to various time portions of the base function. The variable spectral representation exhibits variable bandwidth of the variable spectral coefficients, which are efficient and accurate to calculate and especially suited for music analysis purposes.

To individually control the differential voltages of voltage sources in series, there is provided an integrated control circuit for a set of N sources in series. This circuit comprises N discharge control and measurement cells which are each produced in a separate well, insulated from the substrate and from the other wells. The cells are linked to the circuits formed in the substrate by level translation circuits having a part inside the well and a part outside the well. These circuits use transistors withstanding voltages of several tens of volts. The integrated circuits may be cascaded on an SPI bus if one wishes to control a group of k.N sources with k>1.
