Abstract: Disclosed is a method for preparing a compound of Formula 1 comprising contacting a compound of Formula 2 with at least one alkali metal cyanide of Formula 3 and a compound of Formula 4. wherein R1 is NHR3 or OR4; R2 is CH3 or Cl; R3 is H, C1-C4 alkyl, cyclopropyl, cyclopropylcyclopropyl, cyclopropylmethyl or methylcyclopropyl; R4 is H or C1-C4 alkyl; X is Br, Cl or I; and R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 and R10 are as defined in the disclosure. Also disclosed is a method for preparing a compound of Formula 4 wherein R9 and R10 together are a cycloalkadiene bidentate ligand, comprising contacting a compound of Formula 5 wherein Y is Cl, Br or I, with a cycloalkadiene bidentate ligand, at least one metal reducing agent and a nitrile solvent.

Abstract: The present invention aims at providing an article having a composite structure including a metal component and a resin component bonded together. The present invention provides an article which is a composite structure, including a first component and s second component, the first component is a metal substrate and the second component is a molded product comprising a thermoplastic resin composition, and the reaction of a silane coupling compound resin with the metal substrate for forming binder between the first and second components comprising SiOx, C—Si—O—X bond (X is metallic substance of the first component) as determined by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, wherein the bonding strength between the first and second components is about 30 Mpa or more.
Abstract: The invention relates to high-resolution analog-digital converters using so-called folding differential amplifier structures composed of differential circuits (crossed differential pairs) and of loads (cascode transistors). The folding structure according to the invention comprises, in the case where it is desired to produce four curves folded at two periods in the useful range of voltages to be converted, four folding blocks (one per curve). The first comprises 7 differential circuits and eight loads, the end loads not being linked to the output of the block. The other blocks comprise 6 differential circuits and eight loads, the last load of each block not being linked to the output of this block. Gains are achieved in terms of bulk, consumption and operating speed, with respect to existing structures.
Abstract: The disclosure provides an ink set comprising an ink jettable ink and an ink jettable fixer ink comprising: an aqueous colorant containing ink jettable ink; and a fixer ink comprising: (i) a multivalent metal salt, wherein the metal is selected from the group consisting of divalent metal ions, trivalent metal ions, and mixtures thereof; and (ii) a salt stable, water soluble, predominantly non-ionic, polymeric binder selected from the group consisting of a polyurethane comprising an ethylene oxide unit, and a methoxylated carboxylated polyallylamine; wherein the polymeric binder is substantially non-reactive with the colorant. The colorant comprises a dye, a self dispersed pigment or a pigment dispersion. These inks have enhanced coloristic and durability properties.
Abstract: For embedding watermark information into an information signal including audio and/or video information, first of all a synchronization sequence with a plurality of synchronization sequence units and a data sequence with a plurality of data sequence units are provided, wherein between the data sequence and the synchronization sequence a time shift is present and wherein a degree of shifting depends on the watermark information. A combination means generates a combination sequence having a plurality of combination sequence units from the synchronization sequence and the data sequence shifted with regard to the synchronization sequence, wherein the combination sequence units are derived from synchronization sequence units and shifted data sequence units. The combination sequence is combined with the information signal in order to embed the watermark information into the information signal.

Abstract: A multicolor hologram (e.g., a two-color hologram) is replicated (copied) into a photosensitive layer by masking to produce a copy (replicate) of the hologram in a manner such that the copy is an accurate and true replication of the hologram (e.g., master hologram), and the copy is characterized to possess a high brightness level and color fidelity comparable to that of the multicolor hologram that was replicated. Both flood and scan modes can be employed in the replication.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a floating auxiliary structure, similar to a floating rigid portal, of simple construction and low cost, designed to facilitate moving of equipment of large sizes and mass in sea operations.
