  • Patent number: 5081335
Abstract: The invention deals with a new miniaturized welding machine, suitable for light soldering jobs.In general lines, the invention consists of the construction of a machine for electric welding with characteristics of a source of constant current. For this purpose, in the central leg of the core (15), a bundle of steel blades in a shape similar to that of the letter "E" (16) faced by the letter "I" (17), a primary coil (18) and a secondary coil (19), are placed on the opposite ends of the central leg of the core, remaining between them the space occupied by a physical separator (20) of both coils; what happens is that, when to the secondary coil is connected a charge resistance (21), it is produced the characteristics of a constant current source, suitable to determine the fusion of electrodes allowing the performance of the desired welding.

  • Patent number: 5078501
Abstract: The conformance of an unknown object to predetermined characteristics is evaluated through a characteristic signature, using its transform image. The presence at an inspection station of each successive one of the objects to be inspected is detected. The inspection system includes a rotatable disk having mask apertures that move into the line of sight of a light detector. Signals produced by scanning of timing marks upon the disk reflect which one of the plurality of masks is present in the optical path, and the photodetector determines the intensity of the transform image sampled by said mask means. The signals representing these intensities, correlated to the domain from which they emanate, are collected to form a signature for the object. This signature is compared to a known signature.

  • Patent number: H1014
Abstract: A method of making cherries of the maraschino type is provided. Sulfite brined cherries are leached to reduce residual sulfur dioxide content to at most about 100 ppm. The leached cherries are then immersed in a sweetener syrup consisting essentially of high fructose corn syrup, solids from crystalline fructose, and a red coloring agent. The syrup has a sweetener solids content insufficient to cause substantial osmotic shock to said fruit, but said immersing raises the solids level of said cherry fruit and imparts thereto a red color. The use of the particular sweetener syrup allows the solids level of the fruit to be raised much faster than in conventional maraschino cherry manufacture and yet collapse of the fruit is avoided. Also provided is a method of packing frozen fruit.
