Abstract: A remote printing system including a communication port, a printing device, and a measuring device. The printing device prints images received from the communication port, and the measuring device generates image measurement information from the printed image and transmits the image measurement information to the network port. The remote printing system preferably includes an image server located remotely from the printing device and the measuring device. The image server preferably transmits image data to the printing device, whereupon it is printed, and the measuring device then generates and transmits image measurement information back to the image server. The image server may then generate print quality information. Alternatively, the remote printing system includes a computer collocated with the printing device and measuring device. The computer obtains the image source information from the image server and relays it to the printing device.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a partially-crystalline copolymer comprising tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene in an amount corresponding to HFPI of from about 2.8 to 5.3, and preferably from about 0.2% to 3% by weight of perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether), said copolymer being polymerized and isolated in the absence of added alkali metal salts, having a melt flow rate of within the range of about 30±3 g/10 min, and having no more than about 50 unstable endgroups/106 carbon atoms can be extruded at high speed onto conductor over a broad polymer melt temperature range to give insulated wire of high quality.

Abstract: The present invention provides (i) a novel composition which is the polyol reaction product polyol made by mixing together a polyhydroxyl-tertiary amine, at least two of the hydroxyl groups of said amine being indirectly bonded to a nitrogen atom of said amine through a chain containing at least two carbon atoms, with an organic polyisocyanate, essentially all the isocyanate groups of said polyisocyanate being reacted with hydroxyl groups of said amine, and (ii) a coating composition containing a film forming binder and a volatile organic liquid carrier, said binder containing (I) hydroxyl-containing acrylic polymer and (II) the novel composition (i).
Abstract: A tool holder having at least one holding member with a fastener to secure at least one tool, such as a wrench or the like, on the tool holder is described. The tool holder has a body and at least one holding member with at least one fastener therein or thereon, wherein the fastener is preferably a magnet. The body is substantially elongated and has a securing member which may be substantially centered along the length of the body. The holding member(s) operatively connect to or about the body, preferably by connecting to or about the securing member of the body. The securing member is preferably a channel or a T-shaped extension member. The holding member(s) may be adjustable along the securing member or permanently fixed to the securing member such as to form a unitary tool holder so that the holding member(s) may accommodate any suitable size tool on the tool holder.
Abstract: A gray scale bistable electro-optic display is driven by storing a look-up table containing data representing the impulses necessary for transitions, storing data representing at least an initial state of each pixel of the display, storing data representing temporal and gray level prior states of each pixel, receiving an input signal representing a desired final state of at least one pixel of the display; and generating an output signal representing the impulse necessary for a transition, as determined from the look-up table, dependent upon the temporal and gray level prior states. Other similar methods for driving such displays are also disclosed.

Abstract: Multilayered polyamide composite articles comprising at least three layers that comprise aliphatic and semi-aromatic polyamides and that is better able to retain its mechanical properties at high temperatures and over long times are disclosed. Layers comprising aliphatic polyamides may optionally contain oxidation stabilizers. The articles may be in the form of tubes incorporated into a heat exchanger. Processes for their preparation are also provided.
Abstract: This invention relates to an isolated nucleic acid fragment encoding a squalene metabolic enzyme. The invention also relates to the construction of a chimeric gene encoding all or a portion of the squalene metabolic enzyme, in sense or antisense orientation, wherein expression of the chimeric gene results in production of altered levels of the squalene metabolic enzyme in a transformed host cell.
