The method includes storing a plurality of pieces of fingerprint information on at least one of a finger-by-finger basis, a user-by-user basis, and a pattern-by-pattern basis; receiving a fingerprint-touch input through a display module capable of performing fingerprint identification; and if fingerprint information of the received fingerprint-touch input matches with one of the plurality of pieces of fingerprint information for locking a predefined operating menu, locking the predefined operating menu. Therefore, it is possible to easily lock or unlock the mobile terminal in response to a fingerprint-touch input. In addition, it is possible to effectively perform various operations performed by the mobile terminal in response to a fingerprint-touch input.

Abstract: A system and method for adding information from a data transmission network to a television display includes a first receiver for receiving data signals from a data transmission network, a first signal processor for decoding the data signals and rendering a graphics image based on the data signals in a first area of a frame buffer, a second receiver for receiving television signals, and a second signal processor for decoding the television signals and rendering a video image based on the television signals in a second area of the frame buffer. A display component is provided for mixing the graphics image and the video image from the frame buffer to create a combined image for display on a display device. The data transmission network can be a wireless information network. The graphic image can be a change in the color of wallpaper of the display device.

Abstract: A method of decoding an audio signal is disclosed, The present invention includes the steps of receiving the audio signal having a plurality of channel signals including an ambient component signal and a source component signal, extracting the ambient component signal and the source component signal of each of the channels based on correlation between the channel signals, modifying the ambient component signal using surround effect information, and generating the audio signal including a plurality of channels using the modified ambient component signal and the source component signal. Accordingly, in an apparatus for decoding an audio signal and method thereof according to the present invention, an ambient component signal is extracted and modified based on correlation and the modified ambient and source component signals are outputted using different signal output units, respectively. Therefore, the present invention enhances a stereo effect of the audio signal.

The washing method includes: setting a target water level of washing water supplied for a washing cycle; supplying washing water and measuring a time for the washing water to reach the target water level; and setting a spray time for a rinsing cycle conducted after the washing cycle based on the time measured in the step of measuring a time to reach the target water level. The trellis encoder trellis-encodes the enhanced data outputted from the block processor.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for encoding a signal of a wireless communication system, the method comprising dividing a current frame of the signal into a plurality of GOBs (Groups of Blocks) each having a certain size, determining whether a current GOB to be encoded of the plurality of GOBs is a first GOB of the current frame, calculating a control parameter value of the current GOB according to whether the current GOB is the first GOB of the current frame, controlling an encoding bit rate of the current GOB according to the control parameter value, and encoding the current GOB. Preferably, a hybrid method wherein an inter-frame GOB update method and an intra-frame GOB update method is used, so that a bit rate change between frames is reduced and data transmission of a channel is efficiently made to therefore provide a user with optimum image quality.

In particular, a method of allocating a plurality of Dedicated Physical Channels (DPCHs) and Enhanced Dedicated Channels (E-DCHs) in a user equipment of a multicode transmission system. The method includes determining whether a High Speed Downlink Shared Channel (HS-DSCH) is configured for the user equipment (UE) and determining a number of codes used by the DPCH and the E-DCH. The method further includes allocating the DPCH and the E-DCH channels to an I branch or a Q branch based on the number of codes used by the DPCH and the E-DCH and the HS-DSCH configuration.

Thus, a process for transferring the coordinating function without the handover process is called a recovery process.
