Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for utilizing sensor data from sensors of different modalities and from different vehicles to generate a combined image of an environment. Sensor data, such as a point cloud, generated by a LiDAR sensor on a first vehicle may be combined with sensor data, such as image data, generated by a camera on a second vehicle. The point cloud and image data may be combined to provide benefits over either data individually and processed to provide an improved image of the environment of the first and second vehicles. Either vehicle can perform this processing when receiving the sensor data from the other vehicle. An external system can also do the processing when receiving the sensor data from both vehicles. The improved image can then be used by one or both of the vehicles to improve, for example, automated travel through or obstacle identification in the environment.

The hybrid cooling system comprises a propeller positioned on an exterior portion of an enclosure and mechanically coupled to a rotor, at least one electronic component, a stator, the rotor, and an auxiliary fan disposed within the enclosure, and wherein: in a single cooling mode, the propeller rotates to generate air that is channeled into the enclosure, in a dual cooling mode: the propeller rotates to generate the air that is channeled into the enclosure, a coupling mechanism simultaneously engages the rotor and the auxiliary fan and links the propeller to the auxiliary fan by the engaging of the rotor with the auxiliary fan, and the auxiliary fan, rotates responsive to the rotation of the propeller in the dual cooling mode.

Abstract: A transfer press includes a press machine that moves a slide up and down in accordance with pressing motion, and a transport device that moves a retainer in accordance with transfer motion to transport a workpiece. The transfer press includes a creation unit, a determination unit, and a phase adjustment unit. The creation unit creates a three-dimensional operating curved surface based on the provisionally set pressing motion and the provisionally set transfer motion. The determination unit compares a standard upper die interference curved surface with the operating curved surface in the same three-dimensional coordinate system to determine whether the operating curved surface is present within an interference region of the standard upper die interference curved surface. The phase adjustment unit changes a relative phase of the transfer motion relative to the pressing motion when the operating curved surface is present within the interference region.
Abstract: A pipeline for conveying concrete determines a pressure in and/or a wall thickness of the pipeline, wherein a first length portion of the pipeline has a first wall thickness and a second length portion of the pipeline has a second wall thickness greater than the first wall thickness. The determination is made using a first strain gauge on an outer side of the first length portion and a second strain gauge on an outer side of the second length portion, wherein the strain gauges are each fixedly applied to the outer side of the length portions. A strain gauge and/or the second longitudinal section of the pipeline are/is at a spacing from at least one end of the pipeline, which spacing corresponds to at least an internal diameter of the pipeline. By comparing strain gauge measurements, the wall thickness is determinable.
Abstract: A software-defined network (SDN) rule modification counter system provides counters that track all changes and edits to rules at SDN controllers and SDN switches on an SDN. The system compares counters at the SDN controller and SDN switch to determine if they match. If the counters do not match, a change has been made to the rules. With the addition of rule edit statistics the SDN controller will now have visibility that a rule modification was performed. The SDN controller then verifies that the state of the device is the same as its expected state as a secondary integrity check. Based on the rule modification notification, changes to a central rules table at the SDN controller and changes to rule settings at the SDN switch are made according to pre-programmed logic.
