Abstract: An avoidance conveying device and an avoidance conveying method are provided. The device includes a receiving device, a front lifting device, a transition device, a rear lifting device, and a sending device arranged in sequence along a direction of conveying glass sheets; the receiving device receives the glass sheets conveyed by a front roller conveyor of an original sheet production line; the sending device conveys the glass sheets to a rear roller conveyor of the original sheet production line; an avoidance channel is formed between the front lifting device and the rear lifting device. Pedestrians and forklifts directly pass through the glass production line at any time through the avoidance channel, shortening the travel distance and the travel duration of pedestrians and forklifts. The glass sheets are finally conveyed to the rear roller conveyor by bypassing the avoidance channel, which ensures continuous and uninterrupted transportation of the glass sheets.

Abstract: The invention advances the ratio method of phosphor thermography using two machine vision cameras for full-field temperature measurements of a solid surface. As an example, algorithms from digital image correlation (DIC) can be used to determine the stereoscopic imaging system intrinsic and extrinsic parameters, and accurately register material points on the sample to subpixel locations in each image with 0.07 px or better accuracy. A phosphor calibration sample fabricated using aerosol deposition can be used for in situ determination of the temperature-versus-intensity ratio relationship. The full calibration methodology and several improvements on two-color phosphor thermography open the door for full-field temperature measurements in dynamic tests with deforming test specimens.

Abstract: A method of measuring a pressure of a fluid adjacent a wall of a pipe or vessel. A transducer is attached to the wall of the pipe or vessel. A signal is transmitted by the transducer at a characteristic frequency via a plurality of guided wave modes. The characteristic frequency is a frequency at which the guided wave modes are separated in time from each other when received. The signal is received after the plurality of guided wave modes travel in or through the wall a predetermined number of times. The signal has a signal receipt time after the predetermined number of times. The pressure of the fluid is calculated using the signal receipt time.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for regulating tourniquet cuff pressure to restrict blood flow penetration past the cuff based on a personalized restrictive pressure (PRP). The system includes mechanisms for estimating a limb occlusion pressure (LOP) by determining a minimum pressure at which arterial blood penetration past an applied tourniquet cuff is stopped and measuring a pulsation characteristic associated with the LOP. Thereafter, the system establishes a PRP by determining a second pressure that restricts but does not stop arterial blood penetration past the cuff and that corresponds to a second pulsation characteristic differing by a percentage from the pulsation characteristic associated with the LOP. During a limb-activity time period, the system maintains pressure in the applied tourniquet cuff near the PRP, thereby restricting but not stopping arterial blood penetration past the cuff during the activity time period.
