Publication number: 20090139333Abstract: A flaw Z with a long probing length inside a probing target is allowed to be probed. The waves other than the probing target waves are removed or reduced, so that the individual difference in the sizing result due to the ability of the measuring personnel is eliminated to improve the precision of the probing. A transmission probe 31 and a receiving probe 32 for transmitting and receiving a wide band ultrasonic wave are included. Each time the positions of the probes 31 and 32 are moved, a received wave Gj(t) is obtained. From a spectrum Fj(f) corresponding to the received wave Gj(t), a narrowband spectrum FAj(f) is extracted. Patent number: 7540924Abstract: Disclosed is a sealant dispenser for more precisely dispensing a sealant onto a substrate, and a control method thereof. The sealant dispenser includes a stage on which a substrate is mounted; a nozzle for dispensing a sealant while making a relative motion with the substrate; a syringe coupled to the nozzle, for storing the sealant; and a distance sensor installed on both sides of a lower portion of the syringe, for measuring a vertical distance between a principal plane of the substrate and an outlet of the nozzle. According to the principles of the present invention, because the nozzle and the syringe have substantially the same central axis, the response speed of the sealant to be dispensed is increased and the start point and the end point of paste pattern are more precisely dispensed. Also, by minimizing the distance between the nozzle and a measuring point provided by the distance sensor, it becomes possible to dispense the sealant at higher precision.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2005Date of Patent: June 2, 2009Assignee: Top Engineering CompanyInventors: Man Ho Ahn, Joon Young Kim

Patent number: 7540185Abstract: A method and system for detecting engine misfires in a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine. The system includes a processor and a crankshaft sensor which produces an output signal to the processor representative of the angular position of the crankshaft. The processor is programmed to determine a first velocity difference between a first set of angularly spaced angular ranges of the crankshaft as well as a second velocity difference between a second set of angularly spaced angular ranges of the crankshaft. The first and second angular ranges are different from each other. The processor compares the absolute value of the greater of the first and second velocity differences with a threshold value and generates an engine misfire signal whenever that threshold is exceeded.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2007Date of Patent: June 2, 2009Assignee: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing north America, Inc.Inventor: Dennis J. Patent number: 7542889Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining a geometrical object for modeling the geometry of a metal sheet forming stage (1) in a CAD system. According to said method, an operator is defined which links a first geometrical model with a second geometrical model. The link is associated with a method for physically modeling a treating process which transfers a forming stage (1) from a corresponding first state into a second state. When the first geometrical model is modified, the second geometrical model is automatically updated in accordance with the physical modeling concept. The physical modeling concept for forming stages is thereby integrated into the static geometrical model environment of a CAD system. The physical modeling method is a method for calculating a border line (3) of a forming stage in an initial state prior to a forming process from a geometry of the border line (3) in a resulting state after the forming process.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2003Date of Patent: June 2, 2009Assignee: Autoform Engineering GmbHInventors: Matthias Hillmann, Waldemar Kubli
