Abstract: A spacer for use in stacking a plurality of cases containing a quantity of product on a pallet to form a pallet assembly and to facilitate heat transfer to or from the product is described. Installations for retaining a quantity of product at a desired temperature including a storage warehouse space including a rack-aisle heat transfer system incorporating pallet assemblies including spacers of the present disclosure are also described. The spacer of the present disclosure is useful to transfer heat to and from a quantity of warehouse product through both conduction and forced convection. The spacers provide an airflow path through at least one airflow channel between opposing sides of the pallet assembly so that airflow is not lost through sides adjacent to the opposing sides of the pallet assembly. The spacers further provide a consistent support surface for cases positioned above and below the spacers.
Abstract: A water shield for the door of a vehicle. The water shield includes a sheet of a water impervious material configured to extend over a portion of the door's inboard panel to be attached thereto. An access opening cover of expanded foam is directly attached to the sheet. The cover's perimeter portion circumscribes the access opening. The cover is secured, around the access opening, to the inboard panel, resulting in sealing of the access opening and mass dampening of the inboard panel.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for capturing CO2 from a combustion source using molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFCs). The fuel cells are operated to have a reduced anode fuel utilization. Optionally, at least a portion of the anode exhaust is recycled for use as a fuel for the combustion source. Optionally, a second portion of the anode exhaust is recycled for use as part of an anode input stream. This can allow for a reduction in the amount of fuel cell area required for separating CO2 from the combustion source exhaust and/or modifications in how the fuel cells are operated.

Abstract: A portable powered roller assembly configured to impart a motive force to a wheeled vehicle or structure consists of a roller mounted in a rolling support structure. The roller is rotationally driven by a battery-powered drive unit coupled through a torque multiplying transmission, and is configured for engagement with the circumferential surface of a vehicle wheel. Rotational movement of the roller in engagement with the circumferential surface of the vehicle wheel draws the powered roller assembly towards, and under, the curved circumferential surface of the vehicle wheel, imparting a force to the vehicle wheel which include both a lifting force perpendicular to the supporting surface on which the powered roller is resting, and a motive force parallel to the surface.

Abstract: The present invention provides a servo press system and a drawing method using the servo press system. The drawing method according to the aspect of the present invention includes: a stopping step of stopping the slide for a first period in a course of a stroke for performing drawing; a keeping step of reducing the die cushion force to below a predetermined die cushion force and keeping the die cushion force for a second period within the first period for which the slide is stopped; and a restarting step of restarting the slide after keeping the die cushion force for the second period, wherein drawing including the stopping step, the keeping step, and the restarting step is performed at least one time in the course of the stroke for performing drawing.
Abstract: A blowout preventer (BOP) lifting apparatus has a reinforced frame and a gate for securing a BOP stack. The frame has a central U-shaped recess for securing a collared portion of the BOP stack. The gate pivotally swings between a closed position on the frame and an open position for installation and removal of the lifting apparatus from the BOP stack. An actuator has a first end connected to a top surface of the frame and a second end connected to the gate for actuating the opening and closing of the gate to the frame. When the gate is in the closed position, three locking pins are inserted into three vertical pinning holes located on the frame, which are aligned with three pinning holes located on the gate. The apparatus may be lifted via cables or other lifting mechanisms attached via lifting eyelets located on each corner of the frame.
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for managing communication between devices in an electric power generation and delivery system. In certain embodiments, a method for managing communication messages performed by a network device included in an electric power generation and delivery system may include receiving a message including an identifier and data state information via a communications interface. A determination may be made that that the message represents a data state change associated with the identifier. The message may be stored in a message buffer associated with the identifier. Finally, the stored message may be transmitted from the message buffer to an intelligent electronic device.

Abstract: A system and method for formation and processing of pressurized die cast metal articles or components includes an injection or casting station in which a series of cast metal articles are formed within a series of dies by the introduction of a metal material into the dies. The dies are then moved to a retention area where the metal material is permitted to solidify to form the castings, after which the dies are opened and the castings removed therefrom, and subsequently are transferred to a short cycle solution heat treatment station. The castings are conveyed through the short cycle solution heat treatment station with the castings maintained within a series of fixtures to dimensionally support and stabilize the castings during solution heat treatment thereof.
