Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing CO2 sorption and regeneration processes that can take advantage of phase changes between solutions of amine-CO2 reaction products and precipitate slurries, where the slurry particles can include solid precipitates formed based on the amine-CO2 reaction products. An amine solution can be used to capture CO2 from a gas phase stream. During this initial capture process, the amine-CO2 reaction product can remain in solution. The solution containing the amine-CO2 reaction product can then be exposed to a set of conditions which result in precipitation of a portion of the amine-CO2 reaction product to form a slurry. The precipitate slurry can be passed into one or more release stages where the conditions for the slurry are altered to allow for release of the CO2.

Abstract: The present invention provides a panel having a light-absorbing heat-storing panel body in which the problem of heat storage with light absorption by the panel body is reduced. A panel 51A includes a panel body 52A made of a thermoplastic resin and having light transmissivity and the light-absorbing heat-storing property of absorbing light, converting the light to heat, and storing the heat therein. The panel body 52A has a laminated structure including a light-transmissive first layer 2a and a light-transmissive second layer 2b laminated on the first layer 2a and having the higher light-absorbing heat-storing property than the first layer 2a.
Abstract: A formable laid interior decoration material (10) for an automobile is formed by laminating air-permeable design layer (11), apertured resin layer (12) having formed a plurality of apertures (12a) penetrating it in a thickness direction, shape-retaining felt layer (13) containing melted fibers, non-air-permeable resin sheet layer (14), and padding material (15), in this order. Formable laid interior decoration material (10) for an automobile is formed in a shape that conforms to a shape at a location where the material is laid in the automobile. The laminated body of air-permeable design layer (11), apertured resin layer (12), and shape-retaining felt layer (13) preferably has an air permeability of 1 to 30 cc/cm2/second.
Abstract: A valve is particularly suited for a movement damping apparatus. The valve has a field-generating device, such as a magnet unit, and a fluid that is subjected to the field, such as a magnetorheological fluid, is pressed through a flow path forming a bottleneck. At the bottleneck the fluid is subject to the field and it changes its flow characteristics in response to the field. The flow path is divided into at least two flow tracks by a partition that forms one or more additional friction surfaces.

An enclosed cabin of a barrel form is arranged in a gap between said pile and said sleeve, said enclosed cabin is formed by an internal wall of said cabin and said sleeve, a second connection port for the grouting pipe and a second grouting exhaust port are provided at a lower and an upper part of said enclosed cabin, respectively; the cabin and pile form a first grouting space and said cabin and said sleeve forms a second grouting space.
Abstract: A cutting plotter includes a medium supporter, a first guide rail, a second guide rail, a carriage, a work tool, a working controller, and a second direction displacement detector. The second direction displacement detector is configured to measure a second guide rail displacement amount. The second guide rail displacement amount indicates a magnitude of displacement of a moving path of the carriage from a predetermined moving path with respect to the second guide rail in a direction perpendicular to a second direction when the carriage is moved in the second direction along the second guide rail. The working controller is configured to execute a control in which a movement control of the second guide rail on the first guide rail is added so that the second guide rail displacement amount is corrected in a movement control of the carriage on the second guide rail.
Abstract: An immobilization device and method of restraining vehicles, persons and animals uses tendrils attached to various devices to engage the target. The immobilization device, system and method includes a housing containing launchable tendrils that are launched from the housing by a propellant. The tendrils may be attached to straps or other elements carried by the immobilization device. The tendrils will engage the target and restrain it if it is a vehicle such as a car, truck, boat, submarine, or like vehicle. In stopping a person or animal the tendrils will deliver a marking package, a shocking package or a snare package to mark, shock or snare the target. Straps may be pulled off the housing leaving the housing near the point of deployment.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a ram air generator for an automobile, and more specifically to a ram air generator which improves an efficiency of an automobile. In one embodiment, the automobile can have, for example, an engine, a radiator, an ac condenser unit, and/or a ram air generator which can be located in an ambient air flow both of an engine. The automobile can also include a battery and/or a DC-DC converter connected to the ram air generator. The ram air generator receives ambient air in the ambient air flow path and generates energy from the ambient air. The energy generated by the ram air generator can be used to charge a battery and/or supply power to electronic devices through a DC-DC converter. The ram air generator can include a shroud, a fan blade assembly, an energy generation unit, and/or a regulator.
