Abstract: A cost effective method for reutilizing exiting refinery equipment associated with either a Reformer Unit or Isomerization Unit by converting such units into units and associated processes for hydrodesulfurizing and cracking naphtha feedstocks into light plant gases and chemical feedstocks. These existing Reformer or Isomerization units and processes can be converted into the processes described herein with very little capital expenditures, essentially utilizing almost all of the existing unit equipment, and with little to no major equipment replacements. The processes disclosed herein also effectively reduce the overproduction of naphtha currently experienced in many modern refineries that have resulted from a reduction in overall demand of gasoline products relative to other refinery products.

Abstract: A vehicle can include a navigation unit configured to determine a position of the vehicle. A detection unit can be configured to recognize position and features of objects external to the vehicle. An identification unit can be configured to identify objects expected to be detected based on a determined position of the vehicle, by comparing the recognized features to feature data of object reference data stored in a local database. When the identification unit is unable to identify an object, the identification unit can compare recognized or stored object features to the additional feature data received from a remote database. A navigation unit can update the position of the vehicle based on position data of identified objects and more accurate and safe autonomous operation of a vehicle can be achieved.

Abstract: A deflection resistant combination slip plate and turn plate assembly for support the steered wheels of a vehicle on a precision planar surface resistant to deflection and distortion. The slip plate and the turn plate are supported on an underlying surface by bearing assemblies, and establish a upper planar surface with the turn plate disposed in a cutout region of the slip plate. Each plate is configured for limited translational movement relative to the base plate surface on which it is supported, while the turn plate is further configured for rotational movement about a central axis. Translational movement of the plates is synchronized. Spacing between the slip plate and turn plate is minimized, and supporting means are provided to maintain the slip plate and turn plate in vertical alignment under load.

Abstract: An electroless plating Ru bath for the deposition of Ru on the surface of a substrate comprises a Ru stock solution and hydrazine as a reducing reagent. Ru layers may be applied, for example, for use in membranes for the separation of hydrogen gas from mixtures of gases or to protect materials from corrosion. An example Ru stock solution comprises Ru chloride, hydrochloric acid, ammonia, nitrite salt, alkali hydroxide, and deionized water. The electroless plating bath may be applied to deposit ruthenium layers onto palladium layers to prepare Pd—Ru composite or alloy membranes or multilayer Pd—Ru composite or alloy membranes. Such membranes have example application to the separation of hydrogen from mixtures of gases.

Abstract: A slice blade assembly for various produce items is provided. A circular array of V-shaped blades is carried in an outer support ring. Each blade is held in place by a new non-welded block and nut which interlock with bent tabs formed at the tips of each blade. Each blade is adjustable since each blade is bendable at its apex. Each worn or damaged blade may be removed and replaced without replacing the block and nut that support the blade.

At least one coil when viewed in the direction of the centerline appears to have a non-elliptical shape and a non-circular shape when the at least one coil is in the unbiased state. The plurality of coils is generally canted at a first coil angle relative to the center line. The at least one coil includes at least one section canted at a second coil angle relative to the centerline. The second coil angle is different from the first coil angle when the at least one coil is in an unbiased state.
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for mechanically reducing internal pressure of a column in a refinery or petrochemical process, which uses a safety relay valve for operating an emergency shutdown valve able to mechanically block the supply of a heat source in the process, thus reducing the mounting cost, simplifying the process and ensuring high reliability thanks to the use of mechanical signals.
Abstract: A thin film type solar cell and a method for manufacturing the same is disclosed, the thin film type solar cell comprising a substrate; front electrodes arranged at fixed intervals on the substrate by separating parts for dividing the solar cell into a plurality of unit cells, wherein each separating part is interposed between the front electrodes; semiconductor layer patterns arranged at fixed intervals on the front electrodes by the interposed separating parts; rear electrodes arranged at fixed intervals on the semiconductor layer patterns by the interposed separating parts; and auxiliary electrodes to electrically connect the front electrodes with the rear electrodes, in which the front electrode is electrically connected with the rear electrode through the use of auxiliary electrode, so that it is possible to minimize the laser-scribing procedure for dividing the solar cell into the plurality of unit cells, thereby preventing the particles from being generated.
