  • Publication number: 20060071383
Abstract: A jig stop placement assembly is presented for use with a truss assembly table having a plurality of jig assembly slots extending laterally across the table top. Jig stop assemblies are movable along the jig assembly slots and can be clamped into a desired location. An energy-emitting distance measuring device determines the distance between the jig stop and a reference piece or point. The energy-emitting device is preferably a laser device capable of emitting a laser beam. The measurement device provides information regarding the distance between the jig stop and the reference piece which enables the user to accurately place the jig stop in a desired location. The jig stop placement assembly preferably includes alignment mechanisms for positioning the assembly into a predetermined relationship with a jig stop, the truss assembly table, the reference piece or any combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 7021569
Abstract: A fuel swirler positioned upstream of an injection orifice is disposed at the tip of a nozzle body in a fuel injector, in which the fixed core and the nozzle body are coupled to each other via a non-magnetic cylindrical seal ring press-fitted and welded to the outer circumference of one end on the nozzle body side of the fixed core and the inner circumference of one end of the nozzle body. The inner circumference of the fuel swirler and the inner circumference of the seal ring function serve as a guide for slidably guiding a stroke movement of the needle. The fuel swirler is held between the receiving surface of the nozzle body and the orifice plate, thus defining an annular fuel passage between the outer circumference of the fuel swirler and the inner circumference of the nozzle body, so that fuel flows into a passage groove formed at the lower end surface of the fuel swirler via the annular fuel passage.

  • Patent number: 7022925
Abstract: An acoustic pulse transfer device according to the invention has one or more carrier segments that can be connected together to transport acoustic pulses through them. Acoustic pulses generated by events in a first segment are transported through a second segment, which may or may not have its own acoustic pulse generator generating acoustic pulses in response to different events. Acoustic pulses generated in the first and second segments are then independently transported through a third segment. Any number of such segments can be connected together. Typically, acoustic pulses are generated by compressing a pneumatic tube in a carrier segment. The pneumatic tube is connected to a substantially non-compressible acoustic pulse carrier tube connected to the segment's pneumatic tube through a trough in a wall separating the pneumatic tube from the acoustic pulse carrier tube.

  • Patent number: 7023079
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stacked semiconductor chip package comprising a substrate, a first chip, a plate, and a second chip The first chip is mounted on the substrate. The second chip comprises two opposed longitudinal sides defining a first length. The plate is mounted between the first chip and the second chip, and connects the first chip and the second chip. Corresponding to the two longitudinal sides of the second chip, the plate has two opposed longitudinal sides defining a second length. The second length is larger than the first length to expose the opposed longitudinal sides of the plate. An overflow adhesive portion is formed between the plate and the second chip, and the overflow adhesive portion exposes on the plate. Therefore, the testing instrument can detect the size of the overflow adhesive portion and the thickness of the adhesive layer so as to control the quality of the stacked semiconductor chip package.

  • Patent number: 7022993
Abstract: Leak detector using infrared for identifying the presence and concentration of a selected gas. For detection, radiation from an infrared emitter penetrates the sample, which is analyzed spectrally, and results in a wave length-specific signal being generated at the output. By controlling the optical filter, the radiation is controlled at a selected wavelength, to ensure coverage of all selected compounds. For refrigerants, the selected wavelength can be between approximately 8 to approximately 10 microns. This wavelength obscures other signals, thus minimizing false alarms. The leak detector has a faster time with no adverse impacts on the accuracy of the compound being detected. To further minimize false alarms and to ensure that the emitter does not come in contact with the gas, an additional filter can be used. For refrigerant compounds, the filter can block out signals below approximately 6 microns. For detecting refrigerants, two filters can be used.

  • Patent number: 7022545
Abstract: The present invention has its object to obtain an SiC monitor wafer which can flatten the surface until particle detection is possible. SiC of a crystal system 3C is deposited on a substrate by a CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) method, and the SiC is detached from a substrate. After the SiC surface is flattened by using mechanical polishing alone or in combination with CMP (Chemo Mechanical Polishing), GCIB (Gas Cluster Ion Beam) is irradiated to the surface until the surface roughness becomes Ra=0.5 nm or less and the impurity density of the wafer surface becomes 1*1011 atoms/cm2 or less to produce the SiC monitor wafer.
