  • Patent number: 7011789
Abstract: A scraper removes debris from under a work table, particularly slag resulting from cutting of metal. A pair of parallel tracks extends along opposite sides of a collection area under the table. A blade carriage is carried on the tracks and driven between forward and rearward positions. A pair of arm assemblies are connected to opposite sides of the blade and pivotally mounted to the carriage for moving the blade between a scraping position and a retracted position. A forward notch on each of the tracks is contacted by the arm assembly after reaching the forward position to cause the arm to move the blade from the scraping position to the retracted position during rearward movement. A rearward notch on each of the tracks is contacted by the arm assembly after reaching the rearward position and commencing forward movement to cause the arm to move the blade from the retracted position to the scraping position. The carriage is moved by continuous cables.

  • Patent number: 7011500
Abstract: A ventilation fan that functions as a wheel for movements. The generally cylindrical fan housing is pivotally coupled to a triangular handle. The handle may be manually grasped to roll the fan towards an operative position. The handle may be positioned in a temporary storage position, and an inverted, operative position where the drum is elevated for stable use. The drum-shaped fan rolls on its own, and the fan radius becomes the rolling radius. The preferred handle is attached to suitable bearings secured to the guards at the center of each side of the fan. When the destination is reached, the handle is deployed upside-down to function as a support stand, and the fan remains in a stable orientation without moving or shifting its position during operation.

  • Patent number: 7010972
Abstract: The invention is intended to improve reliability of a thermal type air flow measuring instrument employing a molded part formed by integral molding together with a metal plate. A slot or opening allowing only a resin to pass through the same is formed in the metal plate in an area or thereabout subjected to higher stresses. A part of connector terminals, which is not required from the intrinsic object, is disposed in the vicinity of a area where the resin has a larger thickness and the temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the resin is locally increased. An injecting direction is set so as to prevent a weld line and a void from being generated in a combined way. In the molded part with the metal plate inserted therein, the occurrence of cracks and an increase of the fatigue crack growth rate can be suppressed and reliability can be improved.

  • Patent number: 7013202
Abstract: A system for actuating a spray pump assembly comprises a reference platform, a motor, a drive transmission, a spray pump holder, a force coupler, a force transducer, and a system controller. The motor receives a power and control input, and produces a rotary drive output. The drive transmission receives the rotary drive output and produces a linear drive output. The spray pump holder secures the spray pump assembly. The force coupler couples the linear drive output to the spray pump, and applies a force to the spray pump. The force transducer produces a force signal proportional to the force applied to the spray pump. The system controller receives a set of test inputs and provides the control input to the motor as a function of the set of test inputs. The system actuates the spray pump mechanism according to an actuation profile defined by the set of test inputs.

  • Publication number: 20060048462
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aseismatic support unit, and more particularly to an aseismatic support unit capable of being easily and fitly in-situ assembled to become an aseismatic system. The aseismatic support unit is mounted between a base and a loaded article, comprising a lower support member, an upper support member and a plurality of aseismatic units mounted therebetween. Each of the aseismatic units includes a lower carry member having an upward carry surface, an upper carry member having a downward carry surface and a support roller mounted therebetween. When an earthquake happens, shakes are transmitted from the base. Then, the aseismatic support unit of the present invention diminishes the extent of the shakes of the load article placed over the upper support member and thus prevent the loaded article from overturn and damage as a result of the earthquake.

  • Patent number: 7010343
Abstract: A treatment system and method for enhancing absorption of substances provided on a surface of a patient's skin, includes applying a substance to the surface of the patient's skin by way of a probe that provides at least one of: i) electrical pulses to the skin surface, and ii) vibrational pulses to the skin surface, in order to cause absorption of the substance within the patient's skin. At the same that the substance is applied to the skin, a gauze pad is provided between the probe and the patient's skin. The gauze pad allows for the probe to be moved over the surface of the patient's skin with less friction than if no gauze pad is used, in order to obtain easier movement of the probe with respect to the skin, and to obtain a more even application of the substance to the skin.
