    Abstract: A high frequency transmitter-receiver which can prevent an antenna pattern from being broken. A radar apparatus is provided with a high frequency antenna, a base plate and a module. The antenna is comprised of an organic substrate and a metal pattern formed on the organic substrate. The high frequency antenna is adhered to the base plate astride the module. Here, the gap between the base plate and the module where the antenna is adhered is configured to satisfy the expression (an amount of change in gap size with respect to a change in use temperature)÷(an original gap size)≦6%.

    Abstract: A component placement machine is provided with an activator application station for application of an adhesive activator to an appropriate surface of a surface-mount component. The application station includes an activator reservoir and wick that provide activator to a porous pad by capillary action. The reservoir and wick are substantially sealed from the environment to prevent unnecessary evaporation of the activator. The component placement machine operating program is modified to include the steps of bringing a component to the applicator station, dabbing the component surface against the applicator pad and returning the component to its installation path. A second adhesive component may be pre-applied to the PCB by an adhesive dispenser as is known in the art. The two-part chemically activated adhesive permits rapid low-temperature curing. The invention allows cost-effective fixture of temperature-sensitive surface-mount components to a PCB.

    Abstract: An apparatus is proposed for separating coarse grain and fine grain with a screen (1) made of screen bars (3) which are situated successively adjacent to one another and slope downwardly in the conveying direction (2) of the coarse grain and with a support (4) for the screen bars (3) which are fastened to one end of the support (4) and can be excited to performed oscillations by the material to be screened. In order to ensure an especially favorable screening effect at low maintenance and production costs it is proposed that the bar-like support (4) is held in a frame (6) in a manner torsionally resilient about its longitudinal axis (5) extending transversally to the screen bars (3) and that the screen bars (3) are arranged in at least two rows disposed successively in the conveying direction (2) of the coarse grain.

    Abstract: A feeder tube for bulk product, including a tube in which there are inlet openings distributed along the length of the tube. A screw conveyer is disposed axially within the tube. The tube rotates about its axis, the screw conveyer rotates relative to the tube and the feeder tube moves in the lateral direction. Activators form projections on the outer side of the tube and are disposed on the tube near the inlet openings. In each cross-section along at least 40% of the length of the tube, there are at least two inlet openings. At least two activators are also positioned in each cross-section. For a feeder tube having a desired average volumetric capacity (V′) the slot width (d) of the majority of the openings is V′˜dn, wherein n is between 2-3. The total sum of the width (&Sgr;d) of all openings in each-section is between 150-700 mm.

    Abstract: A light bar incorporates an extruded base and top panel where the top panel is supported above the base by two ruggedly constructed electronics enclosures. The base top panel and electronics enclosures form a structure to which various light units, lenses and covers are attached to form the finished light bar. The top panel is one of the last components to be installed, leaving the internal components of the light bar accessible during assembly. Each electronics enclosure may surround a power supply that includes a heat-generating component, such as a power transistor. Each enclosure is provided with an opening through which the heat-generating component protrudes to form a heat transfer interface with a heat sink plate mounted to the outside of the enclosure. A further heat transfer interface is formed between the heat sink plate and the top panel in the assembled light bar.

    Abstract: A four stage process for producing high quality white oils, particularly food or medicinal grade mineral oils from mineral oil distillates. The first reaction stage employs a sulfur resistant hydrotreating catalyst and produces a product suitable for use as a high quality lubricating oil base stock. The second reaction stage employs a hydrogenation/hydrodesulfurization catalyst. The third stage employs a reduced metal sulfur sorbent producing a product stream which is low in aromatics and which has substantially “nil” sulfur. The final reaction stage employs a selective hydrogenation catalyst that produces a product suitable as a food or medicinal grade white oil.

    Abstract: A semiconductor chip package comprises a semiconductor chip with a metal layer formed over the backside surface thereof and a package body encapsulating the chip in a manner that the metal layer on the backside surface of the chip is exposed from the bottom surface of the package body. The package body has a plurality of protruding potions projecting from the bottom surface of the package body. A plurality of bonding wires each has one end electrically connected to the semiconductor chip and the other end exposed from one of the protruding portions of the package body for electrical coupling to an outside circuit. Preferably, the exposed end of each bonding wire has a longitudinal length at least four times larger than the diameter of the bonding wire. The present invention further provides manufacturing methods of the semiconductor chip package.

    Abstract: A die bonder includes a conveyor, a pre-heater, at least one carrier, a paste-dispensing mechanism, a die taking/placing mechanism, and a heater. The conveyor continuously operates in a ring-shaped manner. The carrier is carried on the conveyor to position the substrate. The pre-heater heats the substrate to eliminate the moisture in the substrate. The paste-dispensing mechanism dispenses an adhesive agent onto the substrate. Then, the die taking/placing mechanism places a die onto the substrate at a position where the adhesive agent is dispensed. Finally, the heater is used to cure the adhesive agent so as to bond the die to the substrate.

The method uses a cold-rolling process without annealing to generate a titanium based multi-layer alloy strip or foil made up of discrete layers of titanium and an additional layer or layers of one or more metals, such as nickel and/or copper, for example, or alloys thereof, with the layer of titanium roll bonded without annealing to the layers of the additional metal(s). The resulting strip or foil can include, for example, Cu/Ti/Cu, Ni/Ti/Ni, and Ni/Ti/Cu, and also, for example, Cu/Ni/Ti/Ni/Cu, and Ni/Cu/Ti/Cu/Ni, among other combinations. The resulting strip or foil can be used for brazing, creating an alloy of the weight percentage of the original materials.
