  • Patent number: 11827378
Abstract: A landing zone arrangement is disclosed for aircraft capable of vertical take-off. The arrangement includes a plurality of segments that form a landing zone in an operating state, a storage space for at least partially storing the segments in a stored state, and a base with a rotatable rotor element in order to rotate the segments for transfer between the operating state and the stored state. The landing zone arrangement allows a lighter technical design as the individual segments are removably secured to the rotor element, and a securing unit of the arrangement is designed to fasten the removable segments to the rotor element for transfer into the operating state and to release this fastening for transfer into the stored state. A lifting unit is provided in order to move the removable segments in the direction of the rotor element when transferring into the operating state.

  • Patent number: 11831662
Abstract: Extensive deployment of interoperable distributed energy resources (DER) on power systems is increasing the power system cybersecurity attack surface. National and jurisdictional interconnection standards require DER to include a range of autonomous and commanded grid-support functions which can drastically influence power quality, voltage, and the generation-load balance. Investigations of the impact to the power system in scenarios where communications and operations of DER are controlled by an adversary show that each grid-support function exposes the power system to distinct types and magnitudes of risk. The invention provides methods for minimizing the risks to distribution and transmission systems using an engineered control system which detects and mitigates unsafe control commands.

  • Patent number: 11831746
Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of time synchronization of computer co-simulation, and particularly relates to a time consistency synchronization method for distributed simulation. According to the time consistency synchronization method, a most appropriate master clock is selected according to votes, and then the other clocks in a network are controlled to synchronize by using the master clock, so that the consistency of data of each node and a time-related event in time logic is ensured. Even if a certain simulation node goes down, influences on the other links of the whole system are relatively small, which can effectively perform decentration, ensure the time consistency to the greatest extent, and ensure the correctness and the scale of a whole distributed system.

  • Patent number: 11828099
Abstract: A door component for pivoting a movable door of a motor vehicle has a drive with an electric drive motor in order to influence a pivoting of the door between a closed setting and an open setting. A position measure for an angular setting of the door leaf and a speed parameter for an angular speed of the door leaf are detected by a position sensor. During a pivoting of the door leaf with the speed parameter, an electrical setpoint current intensity for the electric drive motor is ascertained, and an associated setpoint voltage is set. Then the current intensity flowing through the drive motor is ascertained. The setpoint voltage is increased if the current intensity is lower than the electrical setpoint current intensity, and the setpoint voltage is decreased if the current intensity is higher than the electrical setpoint current intensity.

  • Patent number: 11827587
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for direct conversion of methane and/or ethane to methanol. The methods can include exposing methane to an oxidant, such as O2, in a solvent at conditions that are supercritical for the solvent while having a temperature of 310° C. or less, or about 300° C. or less, or about 290° C. or less. The solvent can correspond to an electron donor solvent that, when in a supercritical state, can complex with O2. By forming a complex with the O2, the supercritical electron donor solvent can facilitate conversion of alkane to methanol at short residence times while reducing or minimizing further oxidation of the methanol to other products.
