  • Patent number: 11050291
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for storing energy. A photon battery assembly may comprise a light source, phosphorescent material, a photovoltaic cell, and a waveguide. The phosphorescent material can absorb optical energy at a first wavelength from the light source and, after a time delay, emit optical energy at a second wavelength after a time delay. The photovoltaic cell may absorb the optical energy at the second wavelength and generate electrical power. In some instances, a first waveguide may be configured to direct the optical energy at the first wavelength from the light source to the phosphorescent material and/or a second waveguide may be configured to direct the optical energy at the second wavelength from the phosphorescent material to the photovoltaic cell.

  • Patent number: 11046896
Abstract: A process for cleansing a liquid of volatile contaminants can be accomplished by cross flowing a liquid through a contactor vessel. As the liquid cross flows through the horizontal contactor vessel, a radial flow pattern is induced in the liquid and the liquid is contacted with a cleansing gas. As the liquid moves through the contactor vessel, contaminants enter the cleansing cross current gas percolating through the liquid. The cross current gas may then be collected and cleansed of the contaminants it collected. The cleaned cleansing gas may then be recycled back into the contactor vessel.

  • Patent number: 11047781
Abstract: The mounting jig assembly includes a jig body and a clamp assembly. The jig body includes a top surface, a bottom surface, a front wall, a rear wall, and a pair of side walls. The jig body is configured to support the test component on the testing assembly with the test component in contact with the top surface and the bottom surface in contact with the testing platform. The jig body defines an elongated opening that extends between the top surface and the bottom surface. The top surface being oriented obliquely with respect to the bottom surface. The clamp assembly is moveable between a clamped position and an unclamped position. In the clamped position the clamp assembly inhibits movement of the test component with respect to the jig body. • Patent number: 11046480
Abstract: This disclosure relates to portable storage boxes, also called job boxes, that may be adapted for use on construction sites. Existing boxes are typically too large and heavy to move by just one person without additional equipment. Existing storage boxes are difficult to maneuver in tight spaces. This invention allows a job box to be broken down into three sub-assemblies of roughly equal size. The individual sub-assemblies are easier to carry since they are compact and can be held close to the body when the user is in a standing position. The individual sub-assemblies stack well against each other allowing the storage box to be stored and transported in a more space efficient way than present art unitary assembly storage boxes.

  • Patent number: 11045303
Abstract: The present application discloses a stent-graft prosthesis and a method for navigating such stent-graft prosthesis e.g. to a branch vessel. A first stent-graft prosthesis may include a main body and at least one lateral side branch connected to the main body. A further stent-graft prosthesis according to examples has a body having a generally tubular wall structure, the wall structure of the further stent-graft prosthesis including an orifice element for receiving a guiding element. Preferably the wall structure has an overlap region for interconnection, e.g. to the first stent-graft prosthesis. The orifice element is then arranged at said overlap region, wherein said overlap region is preferably arranged at a proximal end region of said body. The guiding element preferably is a textile thread or suture thread, optionally with a radiopaque marker, such as a fiducial marker and/or a radiopaque elongate marker extending at least along a portion of a length of said guiding element.

  • Patent number: 11045857
Abstract: A fluid-cooled toolpack for cooling can-forming dies without allowing cooling fluid to contaminate or contact the cans or the interior of the can bodymaker during production. The fluid-cooled toolpack generally includes a chill plate that is biased with a spring into contact with a can-forming die. The chill plate may be generally ring shaped and include annular heat pipes to carry heat away from the can-forming die to a set of heatsink fins at the top of the chill plate. Cooling fluid, such as water or air, can be used to remove heat from the heatsink fins. The chill plate can also be used to preheat the can-forming die before the equipment is used if desired, since the heat transfer of the system is non-directional.
