Abstract: A refill lead writing instrument for stepped advancement of a lead has a spring biased clamping device for holding a lead in direction of its longitudinal axis against a writing pressure. The clamping device includes a clamping chuck supported in a clamping sleeve under a spring action and a longitudinally displaceable lead pipe against which the clamping chuck can abut. A gripping part is form-lockingly connected with a shaft so that the shaft and the gripping part are rotatable relative to one another about a common longitudinal axis. The shaft and the gripping part have opening of same diameters and provided with grooves. A longitudinally displaceable supporting pipe has strips guiding in the grooves, one of the grooves having an extension extending in direction of the writing pipe and formed as a recess in which one of the strips is turnable.

Abstract: A new fluorescent aqueous marking liquid is described, which contains 0.20 to 2.0 % by weight of cumarin C.J. Basic Yellow 40 dye. The liquid is buffered to a pH value of from 3 to 5; it contains an acrylic resin dispersion at a pH of 3 to 5 with a particle agglomerate of 35 to 150 nm. The liquid does not act on a third dye, especially triphenylmethane dye, which is used frequently in carbon paper and is used also on smooth surfaces such as glass plastic foil or glazing paper.

Abstract: A standing container for pin-shaped writing or drawing instruments comprises a plurality of receiving elements pivotally connected with one another, each of the receiving elements being formed as a strip-shaped receptacle with at least two parallel rows of insertion openings and with a groove provided on its lower side and extending in a longitudinal direction, a spring element located in the groove and provided with a plurality of individual spring tongues are arranged to abut against a pin shaped element freely lying in the region of the groove, and connecting elements for connecting the receptacles with one another and including an extension formed at an upper side and at least one longitudinal end of each of the receptacles, a hinge piece extending between the longitudinal ends of two adjacent receptacles, and a pin connecting the hinge piece to the longitudinal end of each of the receptacles.

The applicator includes a container with a tampon impregnated with a solving medium therein and an applicator tip which can be easily replaced with a new one after the used tip has become contaminated.

Abstract: A feed mechanism for a writing device comprising a writing medium carrier which is displaceable in a housing in a front and rear position by means of a press button. Connected with the press button is a rotatable switching element which comprises a circulating switching cam in which a carrier element engages. A spring is arranged between the carrier element and a locking element, and the locking element comprises a spring arm with a supporting surface which engages in an opposed surface at the housing.

Abstract: A device for dispensing flowable substances which includes an elongated housing having a chamber between a front discharge opening and a rear end opening, a piston rod axially longitudinally displaceable in the housing, an applicator at a forward end of the piston rod so as to be projectable out of the housing through the front end and retractable into the chamber with forward and rearward displacement of the piston rod, a dosaging piston disposed in the chamber and opening and closing the front discharge opening with rearward and forward displacement of the piston rod, a sealing face on the piston rod displaceable into sealing engagement with the rear opening when the piston rod is displaced rearwardly, a coupling element supported on a rearward end of the piston rod, and a closing cap removably disposed on the front end of the housing so as to close the chamber, and being disposable on the coupling element.

Abstract: A highly fluid ink-like nail coating material has the following composition: 10-50 weight-% of an alkali-soluble polyester resin with an acid number of at least 60, 0.7-15.0 weight-% of 25% NH.sub.3 solution or the equivalent quantity of highly volatile, low-molecular aliphatic amine, 0-15 weight-% of at least one cosmetically approved acid organic coloring substance, 0-50% additive, and water in a quantity to complete the components to 100 weight-%. It can be applied onto fingernails and toenails, because of its low viscosity, by an application device having a supply container filled with this nail coating material and a wick extending from the interior of the supply container outwardly.

The solving medium comprises 70-90% by weight of aliphatic saturated hydrocarbon with 6-12 C-atoms, and 5-30% by weight of at least one fat-reversing substance. A device for wetting has a container, a tampon soaked with a solving medium and accommodated in the container, a wick arranged in liquid-conducting communication with the tampon and extending outwardly beyond the container, and a sealingly closing cover removable from the container for use of the device.
