Abstract: A TTL transistor logic tristate output device particularly suitable for common bus applications including transistor and diode means for feedback of a portion of current from any output load and from stray capacitances to drive the pulldown element to greater conduction and accelerate sinking of current from the output to ground during transition at the output from high to low potential, said transistor means also arranged to block paths from the output to ground through the enable gate when the output is in the high impedance third state. Means for blocking current flow from the output through the device to high potential is also described.
Abstract: On-chip circuitry for measuring the threshold voltage and hence the data retention reliability of the floating gate transistors used in erasable programmable read-only computer memories. Upon the application of a program "verification" signal, an externally adjustable and calibrated voltage ramp is applied by the test circuit to each of the memory X-lines coupled to the gate elements of the memory transistors. The threshold voltage of a selected transistor can then be determined by increasing the voltage ramp to the point at which the transistor will read out.
Abstract: An electronic memory comprises a plurality of memory cells arranged in an array of rows and column, row address circuitry, column address circuitry, circuitry for sensing the logic states of the cells, and circuitry for delaying addressing of a selected column until after an addressed row has achieved a voltage level suitable for the sensing circuitry to sense. By so delaying the addressing of the selected column, the time required to read information out is reduced substantially--typically by a factor of two for a 1K or 2K.times.8-bit static memory.
Abstract: Two-point diagonally opposite electrical connection between the surface area forming a lead-receiving hole of one electrical device and the corresponding resilient lead of another electrical device is maintained by an eccentric pin inserted into holes in the two devices. An electrically conductive spring for interconnecting lead lines on a printed circuit board comprises a resilient main body for insertion into a hole in the printed circuit board, retaining protrusions integral with the main body for keeping it in the hole, and resilient arms extending outward from the main body for contacting selected lead lines. An electrical cord is anchored to a stiff sheet using a cantilevered door continuous with the sheet, the door opening having a notch for receiving the cord and, in association with the door, for holding the cord as it passes through the door opening.
Abstract: A diffused resistor included in a Schottky device formed in a planar semiconductor material comprises a resistor diffusion formed in the surface of the material and a contact diffusion formed in the surface of the material, the configuration of the contact diffusion being essentially coincident with the shape of the resistor at the location at which ohmic contact to the resistor diffusion is made.
Abstract: A wireless smoke detector apparatus including at least one detector/transmitter unit and a receiver/annunciator unit. The detector/transmitter having a pulsed infrared radiation source, a photodetector having an optical axis angularly intersecting the axis of the radiation source for detecting radiation scattered by smoke particles and a transmitter responsive to the output of the detector for transmitting a unique receiver/annunciator actuating signal which is distinguishable by the receiver/annunciator from other actuating signals.
Abstract: An improved charge-coupled-device gate structure utilizes three depositions of electrically conductive material to form electrodes, thereby allowing fabrication of two-phase CCD gate structures occupying less wafer surface area and operating at faster speeds than conventional charge-coupled-device gate structures.
Abstract: A video game apparatus for connection to a standard television set and including an electronics-containing console having a plurality of parameter selection buttons and a chute mechanism for receiving a replaceable cartridge-containing supplementary electronic circuitry, and a pair of hand controllers for providing player control inputs to the console electronics. Improved connector apparatus is associated with the chute mechanism to enable electrical connection to be made to a cartridge contained printed circuit board with a minimum of insertion force.
Abstract: High-speed testing circuitry which, when coupled to one terminal of a multi-terminal electronic device, such as an integrated circuit, can either supply test stimuli signals up to a frequency of 30 MHz, receive output signals produced by the device under test in response to test stimuli signals applied by associated test circuits and compare these signals against computer predicted signals, or provide for parametric testing of the device.
