  • Patent number: 9651896
Abstract: A method for remanufacturing toner cartridges, wherein original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sealant is removed and replaced with an aftermarket sealant. A hopper assembly is disassembled from a toner cartridge and cleaned to remove residual toner. The hopper assembly is then heated using an oven, heat gun, etc. in order to loosen the OEM sealant binding the hopper assembly. Once thoroughly heated, the hopper assembly is dismantled into a hopper section and a mag section. The OEM sealant is removed from the hopper section and replaced with the aftermarket sealant using an automated robot as the hopper section is held by a jig. A floating mag gasket attached to the mag section is either cleaned and reinstalled or replaced with a new floating mag gasket. The mag section is then reattached to the hopper section using an alignment tool in order to ensure proper positioning of components to create a fluid tight seal.

  • Patent number: 9458941
Abstract: Valve system with rotary stepping actuator to actuate a valve stem. An actuator drive shaft is supported for stepwise rotation in clockwise and counterclockwise directions to impart rotation to a valve stem nut to axially move a valve stem to open and close valve flow trim. The drive shaft forms peripheral first and second slotted circular drive paths co-axially spaced from each other. The drive paths include outwardly-opening, circumferentially-spaced slots which are matched in number, size and spacing, but the slots in the first drive path are rotationally offset from the slots in the second drive path by a set fraction, for example one half of the slot spacing. Actuation assemblies provide separate forward and reverse actuation cycles to the drive shaft to incrementally rotate the drive shaft in predetermined angular increments (steps) set by the slot spacing.

  • Patent number: 9309462
Abstract: A composition comprising an ampholytic copolymer or terpolymer and a non ionic surfactant is shown useful in soil treatment, especially moisture and nutrient retention. The highly surface active compositions described herein self-assemble onto root zone plant surfaces and near-root soil, forming a moisture barrier that still permits root growth and oxygen flow. The inventive compositions increases the wettability of the soil allowing the soil to better absorb water at the beneficial root zone, and release it, along with essential nutrients, to the plant root structure. By targeting moisture retention in the root zone, the polymer decreases the migration potential to the root zone, producing higher irrigation efficiency for optimal plant growth with lower treatment levels. Different dilutions of the composition determine the final settling location of the composition, and the formation of the barrier. The compositions may be applied through known means, such as an irrigation system.
