  • Patent number: 9284510
Abstract: A lubricant coating for laser printer wiper blades is a solution applied to a laser printer wiper blade before install that reduces friction between the wiper blade and the photoconductor drum of a laser printer in order to reduce wear, prevent damage and increase life of the wiper blade and photoconductor drum. A leveling and wetting agent ensures uniform application and reduces coating defects. An anti-wear agent reduces friction and acts as an electrical insulator. A friction reducing agent also reduces friction and acts as an electrical insulator. An evaporation promoting agent aids in evaporation of unnecessary material after application to a wiper blade. A coating enhancing agent increases the hardness of the coating and provides assistance in adherence of the solution to the wiper blade. Deionized water acts as a carrier. The solution is mixed in a high shear mixture.

  • Patent number: 9243469
Abstract: A ram type blowout preventer having a seal on each ram, extending across the front face, rearwardly and then over the top portion or the bottom portion of the ram. Each ram forms a leading edge portion above or below the front face seal, so as opposing rams move into the extended sealing position, the leading edge portions of the rams press against each other, imparting a generally vertical movement to bring the seals on the front faces into sealing engagement with each other and to energize the seals extending over the top or bottom portions against the ram bores. The front face of each ram may include a portion which is inclined toward the central bore. Rope packing seals may be provided on the rams having a vertical offset at the front faces of the rams such that rope packing seals on opposing front faces seal against each other.

  • Publication number: 20150316169
Abstract: Valve system with rotary stepping actuator to actuate a valve stem. An actuator drive shaft is supported for stepwise rotation in clockwise and counterclockwise directions to impart rotation to a valve stem nut to axially move a valve stem to open and close valve flow trim. The drive shaft forms peripheral first and second slotted circular drive paths co-axially spaced from each other. The drive paths include outwardly-opening, circumferentially-spaced slots which are matched in number, size and spacing, but the slots in the first drive path are rotationally offset from the slots in the second drive path by a set fraction, for example one half of the slot spacing. Actuation assemblies provide separate forward and reverse actuation cycles to the drive shaft to incrementally rotate the drive shaft in predetermined angular increments (steps) set by the slot spacing.

  • Patent number: 9086305
Abstract: In a flow meter, a rotor support body carries a paddlewheel rotor in an operational position exposed to a through-flow bore of a flow meter housing. A sensor unit is operable to detect rotation of the rotor and provide output responsive to same for use by a monitoring system in determining a flow rate of fluid passing through the housing. The support body and the sensor unit are removable from the housing, for inspection, service, repair or replacement independently of the housing, with the sensor unit being removable independently of the support body for improved serviceability. The rotor is carried on a support shaft with a reduced diameter portion for contact-free rotation of the rotor around this reduced diameter portion, reducing an area of the shaft over which tight machining tolerances are required to prevent ingress of particulate matter that can lead to inaccurate flow measurements and increased wear rates.

  • Patent number: 9069290
Abstract: A method for remanufacturing toner cartridges includes the use of a plurality of machine screw inserts. Each of a plurality of screw holes of a toner cartridge shell is tapped to create new threading within the plurality of screw holes. The plurality of machine screw inserts is positioned into the plurality of screw holes in order to reinforce the plurality of screw holes, wherein each of the plurality of machine screw inserts has a threaded outer surface and a threaded inner surface. The plurality of machine screw inserts provides a durable interface with a plurality of screws that reduces the chance of failure of the plurality of screws as the plurality of screws is positioned within the plurality of screw holes. An adhesive is applied to each of the plurality of machine screw inserts in order to secure the plurality of machine screw inserts within the plurality of screw holes.

  • Publication number: 20150159448
Abstract: An exemplary apparatus for removing metallic debris from a drilling fluid is provided that includes a first end member, a second end member, and one or more elongated members extending between the first end member and the second end member. The elongated members may each include at least one magnet. Drilling fluid may flow past the elongated members, which may be located in a drilling fluid cleansing machine such as a shale shaker, so that metallic debris in the drilling fluid, if any exist, are attracted by the magnets in the elongated members. Some of the metallic debris may adhere to an exterior surface of the elongated members so that the metallic debris are removed from the drilling fluid. The metallic debris can then be removed from the exterior surface of the elongated members.

  • Patent number: 9046813
Abstract: An improved printer cartridge is provided with a barrier for reducing pressure on printing assembly components in an extended yield cartridge. A printing assembly, including cartridge casing, magnetic developer roller, and hopper, is provided for use with laser printers. A barrier formed by a base and a wall is positioned within the cartridge casing, between the magnetic developer roller and a feed section of the hopper. The wall of the barrier is tangent to the magnetic developer roller, minimizing the area of the magnetic developer roller which is exposed to a medium stored within the hopper and feed section, such as toner. Since exposed surface area is reduce, the amount of pressure on the magnetic developer roller is correspondingly reduced, allowing for an increase in lifespan for the magnetic roller and interactive components, primarily a doctor blade and sealing blade.

  • Publication number: 20150147082
Abstract: An improved laser print cartridge having a reduced defect rate. The improved laser print cartridge includes a printing assembly, a primary cleaning assembly, and a paper cleaning assembly. The printing assembly includes a drum, a primary charge roller, and a toner roller for applying toner to printer paper. The primary cleaning assembly includes a wiper blade for removing large debris particles from the drum into a large particle receiving volume. The paper cleaning assembly provides a wicking flange for removing smaller particles of debris not removed by the wiper blade. As such, the wicking flange is positioned in between the wiper blade and the primary charge roller and is mounted to the wiper blade. A cleaning portion of the wicking flange is pressed against the drum and either absorbs the debris or wipes the debris into a small particle receiving volume delineated by the drum, wicking flange, and wiper blade.

  • Patent number: 8960276
Abstract: A wellhead seal device forms metal seals in an annular space between inner and outer tubular members such as a rough casing held within aligned casing and tubing heads. An annular metal sealing sleeve has a lower portion seated in the annular space, and an upper portion which forms an inner sealing annulus adjacent the outer wall of the inner tubular member. A metal seal ring and a wedge ring are located in the inner sealing annulus. A retaining ring is retained by the upper portion above the wedge ring. Threaded seal energizing members extend through the retaining ring to push downwardly on the wedge ring and compress the metal seal ring radially inwardly to form a metal seal to the inner tubular member and thus seal the inner sealing annulus. The lower portion of the annular metal sealing sleeve may seal to the casing head and to the casing.
