Abstract: A surface-modified inorganic material and a preparation method thereof. A surface-modified inorganic material is provided which is obtained by allowing an organosilane compound having allyl or an allyl derivative to react with an inorganic material, particularly solid silica or ITO glass, in the presence of an acid and an organic solvent, to introduce an organic group into the inorganic material even at room temperature, as well as a preparation method thereof. The invention can effectively introduce the organic group into the inorganic material even at room temperature, and thus is very effective in introducing compounds having a thermally sensitive functional group, for example, natural compounds or proteins. It is possible to introduce various organic groups into an inorganic material and to separate and purify organic molecule-bonded organosilane compounds using a silica gel column to effectively bond them to inorganic materials.

Abstract: An earthquake-resistant strengthening structure for building column structures, includes: a plurality of strengthening plates which are made of fiber sheet, are coupled by a concavo-convex structure in a vertical direction and are coupled by a sliding coupler in a horizontal direction; and mortar which strengthens a coupling between the strengthening plates and adheres the strengthening plates to an earthquake-resistant object. The earthquake-resistant strengthening structure is light, can be easily coupled or assembled, and provides a large binding force and tensile force by structural engagement between pieces of the strengthening plates and fusion of bonding materials. In addition, since the strengthening plates are made of glass fiber or carbon fiber, it is possible to provide an optimal earthquake-resistant strengthening structure having high durability, flexibility and strength with no corrosion.

  • Publication number: 20130061236
Abstract: There is provided a system and methods for segmenting datapath resources such as reorder buffers, physical registers, instruction queues and load-store queues, etc. in a microprocessor so that their size may be dynamically expanded and contracted. This is accomplished by allocating and deallocating individual resource units to each resource based on sampled estimates of the instantaneous resource needs of the program running on the microprocessor. By keeping unused datapath resources to a minimum, power and energy savings are achieved by shutting off resource units that are not needed for sustaining the performance requirements of the running program. Leakage energy and switching energy and power are reduced using the described methods.
