Abstract: A pellicle cleaning apparatus includes a stage to support a pellicle, a particle remover above the stage, the particle remover being configured to remove a particle from a first surface of a pellicle, and the particle remover including a cantilever, and an adhesive material on a bottom surface of the cantilever, and a pressure controller adjacent to the stage, the pressure controller being configured to control a pressure of a fluid on a second surface of the pellicle.

The upper laser level average coordinate and the lower laser level average coordinate may have spacing of less than 10 nm. Wave functions for all active region energy levels located below the lower laser level may have greater than 10% overlap with the injector region.

Abstract: A method of controlled production of luminescent diamond particles exhibiting luminescence in selected specific spectral ranges is provided. The method comprises taking diamond particles containing dopant atoms in the diamond core, irradiating the particles with high energy radiation, and annealing the irradiated diamond particles at a target temperature in the temperature range of about 1400° C.-2200° C. to form luminescent diamond particles where the specific spectral range of luminescence is controlled by the target temperature of the annealing process, the irradiation dose, and the type of dopant atoms. Duration of the annealing and the temperature ramp up and ramp down times should be short enough to minimize or prevent significant graphitization of the particles. Duration of the temperature ramp up time should be short enough to minimize formation of color centers that might form at temperatures below the target temperature.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide methods and devices for improved drainage systems and tubing. In one embodiment, a context-sensitive flow interrupter is provided that inhibits or facilitates flow of fluid when engaged with a mating holder. In another embodiment, outflow is optimized through control of the pressure in gas pockets in a tube, drainage tube or assembly. In one such embodiment, gas pockets are vented to inhibit excessive back-pressure or suction on an organ, vessel or cavity being drained. In another such embodiment, loops in the tubes are avoided by using a mechanical template in the form of a groove or peg assembly to thread the slack in the drainage tube to generate a monotonic gradient. In another embodiment, such as for active drainage systems, a bypass channel is provided that allows an applied vacuum to go around an obstruction created by the collection of fluid in an undrained dependent loop.

Abstract: A method for identifying one or more fractures in a digitized x-ray image includes: obtaining a digitized x-ray image; performing preprocessing on the digitized x-ray image to generate a modified x-ray image having enhanced resolution; partitioning the modified x-ray image into a two-dimensional array including multiple pixels; obtaining an intensity of each of the pixels in the modified x-ray image; evaluating each of the pixels in the modified x-ray image to determine whether at least a given one of the pixels has an intensity indicative of a black pixel; for each given pixel having an intensity indicative of a black pixel, flagging the given pixel when pixels immediately adjacent to the given pixel have an intensity greater than a prescribed threshold value; and placing a visual indication of a possible fracture on the modified x-ray image corresponding to a location of each flagged pixel.
