  • Patent number: 11916933
Abstract: A transparent proxy for malware detection includes a monitor module, a protocol determination module, a challenge generation module, a response determination module, and a data control module. The monitor module examines data originating from an application towards a remote server. The protocol determination module identifies the protocol type used for the data. The challenge generation module produces a challenge for the application based upon the protocol type, sends the challenge to the application, and maintains a state related to the data and the challenge. The response determination module makes a determination if an automatic non-interactive application response is received in response to the challenge from the application. The data control module allows the first data to continue to the remote server when the determination is valid. The data control module reports malware detection and blocks the data to continue to the remote server when the determination is invalid.

  • Publication number: 20240062419
Abstract: Provided is a pose estimation method in a 3D pose estimation apparatus for estimating a 3D pose of an object based on a graph convolution network (GCN). The pose estimation method comprises inputting a feature vector for a joint of the object; generating an affinity matrix according to the feature vector; generating a dynamic graph matrix by fusing the affinity matrix with a predefined static graph matrix of the graph convolution network; and estimating a 3D pose of the object for the feature vector by replacing the static graph matrix of the graph convolution network with the dynamic graph matrix. As a result, the performance of estimating a 3D pose can be greatly improved while almost maintaining the memory usage and inference time of the existing graph convolution network (GCN).

  • Publication number: 20240060140
Abstract: Provided herein are methods related to detecting overexpression of an oncogene through translocations in the immunoglobulin heavy (IGH) locus, as well as methods of treatment, uses, and kits related thereto. As demonstrated herein, IGH translocations lead to oncogene overexpression when the distance from a breakpoint of the translocation to the transcription start site (TSS) of an oncogene is within 0-1.3 Mb. As such, detecting IGH translocations in which a breakpoint is 1.3 Mb or less from an oncogene TSS may find use, e.g., in detecting oncogene overexpression, providing assessment/diagnosis, identifying individuals for treatment, selecting therapies, identifying treatment options, and treating or delaying progression of cancer, e.g., using relevant targeted and/or non-targeted therapies.

  • Publication number: 20240060863
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved technique for cryogenically fixing biological samples in amorphous ice for analysis by cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). Analyte particles are cooled to very low temperatures prior to depositing the particles onto a cooled substrate surface, such as a transmission electron microscope (TEM) grid. This approach “locks” in the particle structure prior to deposition. Either concurrently with or after deposition, the analyte particles are further contacted with a vapor stream of atoms or molecules at cryogenic or near cryogenic temperatures. As a result, a thin layer of an amorphous solid is formed around each particle without significant conformational changes in the particle structure, thereby forming an improved sample for EM analysis.
