Abstract: Disclosed is a fan-out buffer which includes a first channel that includes a first delay circuit adjusting a first delay time of a calibration test signal depending on a first delay control signal, a second channel that includes a second delay circuit adjusting a second delay time of the calibration test signal depending on a second delay control signal, a first edge-to-pulse converter that detects a first edge included in a first time domain reflectometry (TDR) waveform of an output terminal of the first channel and generates a first start pulse signal including a first pulse, a second edge-to-pulse converter that generates a second start pulse signal including a second pulse, a stop pulse signal generator that generates a stop pulse signal including a first stop pulse, and a first delay control signal generator that calculates a phase difference generates the first delay control signal.

Abstract: A transient or biodegradable battery is provided having a filament structure that limits the speed of reaction allowing for a longer duration of battery power with a controlled current limit. In one embodiment, the filament may be constructed of zinc microparticles or nanoparticles having a thin outer insulation whereby a chemical reaction at the center core results in the progressive disintegration of the insulation revealing more core material. In one embodiment, microparticles or nanoparticles are coated with outer layers of chitosan and Al2O3 nanofilms, respectively, with designable discharge current and battery lifespan by controlling the exposed cross-sectional area of the zinc microparticle center core and the length of the filament, respectively. This novel structure of biodegradable battery provides improved control of battery life and power output, providing a promising solution to power transient medical implants.
Abstract: Various implementations include an assistive driving device including a base, a first post, a second post, a third post, and a selector. The first post is for receiving a portion of a palm of a hand of a user and has a proximal end and a distal end. The second post has a proximal end and a distal end. The third post has a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal ends of the first, second, and third posts are coupled to the base. The second post and the third post are positioned to receive a portion of an arm of the user. The selector is spaced apart from the first post and positioned such that the selector is actuatable with a dorsum of the hand of the user.
