  • Publication number: 20210116466
Abstract: An AMD risk evaluation method is provided. The concentrations of a set of evaluation elements contained in a serum sample 2 taken from a subject are measured (step S1), the concentration data of the set of evaluation elements thus measured are applied to a predetermined discriminant function to perform an operation (step S2); and whether or not the subject suffers from AMD is discriminated based on the operation result obtained by applying the concentration data to the discriminant function (step S3). The discrimination is carried out in accordance with the concentration balance (pattern) of the set of evaluation elements. The set of evaluation elements is designated by choosing all or part of specific elements that have the concentration data for both of the case group and the control group based on the discriminant abilities in arbitrary combinations of the specific elements.

  • Publication number: 20210117737
Abstract: An earthquake event classification method using an attention-based neural network includes: preprocessing input earthquake data by centering; extracting a feature map by nonlinearly converting the preprocessed earthquake data through a plurality of convolution layers having three or more layers; measuring importance of a learned feature of the nonlinear-converted earthquake data based on an attention technique in which interdependence of channels of the feature map is modeled; correcting a feature value of the measured importance value through element-wise multiply with the learned feature map; performing down-sampling through max-pooling based on the feature value; and classifying an earthquake event by regularizing the down-sampled feature value. Accordingly, main core features inherent in many/complex data are extracted through attention-based deep learning to overcome the limitations of the existing micro earthquake detection technology, thereby enabling earthquake detection even in low SNR environments.

Abstract: A method of forming polymer composites includes mixing a transition metal oxide precursor including at least one transition metal, a polymer as a binder, a solvent for the polymer, and water to form a first solution including polymer-transition metal complexes. The polymer-transition metal complexes are hydrolyzed to produce a plurality of transition metal oxide nanoparticles, wherein water is added in the mixing in a stoichiometric excess for the hydrolyzing. The solvent and residual of the water remaining after the hydrolyzing are removed. A polymer composite including the transition metal oxide nanoparticles dispersed in the polymer results after the removing, where some of the polymer is chemically conjugated to a surface of the transition metal oxide nanoparticles.

  • Patent number: 10983164
Abstract: A test apparatus may include transceivers and a global de-skew circuit. In a training mode, the transceivers provide first timing information obtained by delaying a first data signal in the range of up to a preset unit interval based on a clock signal and receive second timing information corresponding to timing differences between a slowest transceiver and the remaining transceivers. In an operation mode, the transceivers provide compensation data to a plurality of DUTs (Devices Under Test) substantially simultaneously. The compensation data may be obtained by delaying a second data signal by multiples of the preset unit interval in response to the second timing information. In the training mode, the global de-skew circuit receives the first timing information, calculates, using the first timing information, the timing differences between the slowest transceiver and the remaining transceivers, and provides the second timing information corresponding to the timing differences to the transceivers.
