Abstract: A signal Data1 and Data2 are output from a DQPSK signal source. The output signal is input to the modulator drivers 1 and 2 of the differential output. A drive signal is applied from the drivers 1 and 2 to a modulator, and modulated light is output. An optical coupler 20 branches modulator output, and a power monitor 21 detects the power of the branched light. A detection result is transmitted to an amplitude control unit 22. The amplitude control unit 22 adjusts the amplitude of the drivers 1 and 2 such that the detection result of the power monitor 21 can be the maximum.
Abstract: A figure pattern expressing information to be embedded, or a position of an area in which the information to be embedded exists, is embedded in an area other than the background of image data, thereby generating image data embedded with a watermark. Then, the figure pattern is detected from the generated image data embedded with the watermark, and embedded information expressed by the detected figure pattern or embedded information existing in an area at a position expressed by the detected figure pattern is detected.

Abstract: A height-limited-area-information creating device creates a clip plane on a base plane of a printed circuit board, and sets a view so that an image faces the base plane and a normal to the base plane represents a depth direction of the image. According to the view, a three-dimensional image of a chassis-side component is created. The base plane is divided into unit areas, and one of the unit areas is selected. Coordinates of vertices of the selected unit area are transformed to screen coordinates to acquire a component and a polygon at the position of the screen coordinates. Distances from respective four vertices to the polygon are calculated as height, and a minimum value is determined as a maximum height for the unit area.
Abstract: An outbound-operation support apparatus extracts a set of materials corresponding to received contents of an operation from a material database (DB) and extracts a theme and a knowledge-level value having a success rate larger than a predetermined threshold value from a value DB. Thereafter, a set of customer identifications corresponding to each of the extracted themes and the knowledge-level values is extracted from another value DB, and customer information corresponding to each of the customer identifications is extracted from a customer DB. The extracted material and the customer information are associated with each another and transmitted to an outbound agent terminal.
Abstract: There is provided an electromagnetic field intensity calculator for calculating the intensity of electromagnetic field radiated from an electric circuit device based on a moment method. A conductor pattern obtained from CAD data is divided into a square mesh pattern. In the mesh pattern of the outline part, the entire region in the mesh pattern is filled with the conductor pattern according to the ratio of area between the conductor pattern region and the blank region, or subjected to correction for blanking, so that a mesh data model is automatically configured by mesh pattern group consisting of only squares conforming to the moment method and reflecting the outline of the conductor pattern.

Abstract: According to a WDM optical transmission system of the present invention, wavelength numbers information of a WDM signal light output from an upstream side optical amplifying unit to a transmission path fiber, and signal output level information thereof are transmitted to a downstream side optical amplifying unit utilizing a supervisory control light. In the downstream side optical amplifying unit, a loss (span loss) in the transmission path fiber is computed using the upstream side signal output level information and downstream side signal input level information, so that a gain to be set for a downstream side optical amplifier is calculated based on the computed loss, and also, the gain is corrected based on a difference between a target value of the signal output level computed using the wavelength numbers information and an actual measurement value thereof, so that the optical amplifier is controlled in accordance with the post-corrected gain.

Abstract: A controller controls exchange of data between a plurality of storage units based on transfer rates of the storage units and a fixed rate. If at least one of the transfer rates of a transfer-source storage unit and a transfer-destination storage unit are different than the fixed rate, the controller accumulates a certain amount of data, and outputs accumulated data to the transfer-destination storage unit at the transfer rate of the transfer-destination storage unit so that data is transferred from the transfer-source storage unit to the transfer-destination storage unit at apparently at the fixed rate.
Abstract: A substrate processing apparatus includes liquid tanks, a conveyor mechanism that dips multiple semiconductor substrates, arranged with provision of spaces, collectively into liquids in the liquid tanks, and water vapor spray nozzles disposed in gaps between the multiple semiconductor substrates so as to face rear surfaces of the semiconductor substrates. Heated water vapor is sprayed out of the water vapor spray nozzles onto the respective rear surfaces of the multiple semiconductor substrates prior to dipping the semiconductor substrates into the liquid in the liquid tanks.

Abstract: An embedding area in which a background pattern can be embedded from the color document image is extracted. At least one of a color and a shape of a background pattern appropriate for the embedding area is determined depending on an area color of the embedding area. A background pattern image is generated by embedding watermark information in the embedding area using the determined background pattern.

Abstract: When request transmission is performed, a window selection section of this apparatus selects a window to handle the request based on a partition table. Then, if a relevant window does not exist, a window creation section creates a window based on a partitioning setting table. In the case of a response obtained from an access destination of request transmission which does not belong to the window partition of the request source, a request checking section refuses the request transmission or notifies the user to that effect. Alternatively, a request editing section changes and transmits the contents of the request transmission.

Abstract: A unicast-use tunnel is added between the Note-C and GW-B (i.e., a unicast optimization). Then, the Note-C transmits, to a GW-C, a second IP packet encapsulating a first IP packet, to which an inter-GW header is added, by an IP header to which a multicast address is set. The multicast-use second IP packet is transferred to a CE by way of a tunnel. The CE copies the received second IP packet and transfers it to a GW-A and the GW-B by way of the tunnel (i.e., a multicast optimization).
