Abstract: A method of paging for a wireless device with multiple radio interfaces corresponding to multiple access networks. The method provides a first interface from the multiple radio interfaces to listen to paging for the multiple radio interfaces; turns the rest of the multiple radio interfaces into deep-sleep mode; and maintains attachment for each of the deep-sleep interfaces to a corresponding serving base station or access point.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of signaling radio resource allocation in a wireless communication system includes the time-frequency resources into multiple regions; defining a channel tree within at least one region, wherein the channel tree has base nodes which are determined using the area of the region and the area of a base node; determining a channel identifier assignment for a mobile station, wherein the channel identifier corresponds to a collection of base nodes from a channel tree; transmitting an indication of the determined channel identifier to the mobile station; and transmitting a packet to a mobile station or receiving a packet from the mobile station using the physical time-frequency resources, which correspond to the channel identifier.

Abstract: A system and method for coordinated spatial multiplexing using second order statistical information is provided. A method for controller operations includes receiving second order statistics from a plurality of communications devices, computing a beamforming vector for each communications device in the plurality of communications devices, selecting a subset of communications devices from the plurality of communications devices to receive transmissions, and transmitting transmissions to the subset of selected communications devices. The beamforming vector for a communications device is based on the second order statistics provided by the communications device, and the transmitting uses the computed beamforming vector for each selected communications device to transmit the transmissions to the selected communications device.

Abstract: A wireless receiver is constructed to equalize a time-domain received signal, detect a plurality of symbols of the equalized time-domain received signal, and perform interference cancellation on the time-domain received signal. The interference cancellation can be performed using a partial result produced by an IDFT, and may use only neighboring symbols in a detected plurality of symbols. The resulting wireless receiver can be constructed to operate efficiently under a plurality of wireless standards.

Abstract: A method for coordinating beam forming between two communicating entities includes obtaining cell loading information and adjusting a number of used beam-sets at a specific scheduling time according to the cell loading information. Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for enabling Single Radio (SR)-Voice Call Continuity (VCC) of emergency calls are provided. More specifically, the methods and apparatuses provide continuity of IMS emergency sessions established in 4G access for mobility to 3G/2G access. Generally, a Mobility Management Entity (MME) in the packet switch (PS) domain provides a handover request to a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) Server in the circuit switch (CS) domain. The handover request includes an indication that the call is an emergency call and may include an indication that a Packet Switched Network Induced Location Request (PS-NI-LR) or similar location reporting procedure is required and/or a Gateway Mobile Location Center (GMLC) address. The MSC Server facilitates the handover to the CS domain via the Mg and/or Mw interface.
