  • Patent number: 11587394
Abstract: A computer-implemented for reducing memory requirements for a user interface method includes generating, by one or more processors, a first matrix of symbols with columns that correspond to reels of cyclical symbols. The reels are configured to be rendered in adjacent sections of a display. The method further includes rotating, by one or more processors, each reel by a random amount responsive to receiving a spinning instruction. The method includes configuring a first reel to occupy both a first section of the display associated with the first reel and a second section of the display associated with an adjacent reel so that the adjacent reel will not be rendered when a pattern of symbols of the rendered reels is determined to correspond to a particular pattern. Data that represents the symbols of the reels is maintained in a shadow matrix stored in memory.

  • Patent number: 11559744
Abstract: Systems, methods, and media are provided for improved targeting of an individual object among a plurality of objects in a multi-player online video game. The video game may include plurality of objects located at various places at a given frame. At each frame, a position of the objects is identified. If a player object (except for the player object associated with the user) is within a predetermined radius of another player object, a target position of the player object is modified relative to other player objects. Next, the target position of the player object is modified towards its original position within the frame. This process is repeated for each player object until the corresponding player object is no longer within the predetermined radius of another player object or a violation of a constraints prevents the modification from being performed.

  • Publication number: 20230012875
Abstract: A wagering game, gaming machine, gaming network, and associated methods are disclosed wherein a wheel game includes dynamic paytable features associated with various trigger symbol types. Operating the gaming machine includes displaying a plurality of reels in each primary game including symbol locations which are updated with symbols to display the wager results, the reels including a plurality of wheel trigger symbols having a plurality of types each associated with a respective one of the wheel segment types. At least some wheel trigger symbols of each type including a multiplier value. A wheel spin selects a segment of a wheel. Responsive to the selected segment's type matching that of a selected wheel trigger symbol in the designated winning pattern, a wheel spin paytable is modified in a first display area applying the multiplier value of the selected wheel trigger symbol.

  • Patent number: 11554323
Abstract: A system and method for precise positioning of items such as communication pings in a map of a multiplayer game with touchscreen gestures. Specifically, the method can include displaying a dynamic image or map on a touchscreen and receiving a touch gesture thereon. The touch gesture can begin at a tool selection icon and end at a release location within the map. Then the method can include, in response to the touch gesture, displaying a precision placement tool that depicts a portion of the map obscured by the received touch gesture. The depiction can be an enlarged depiction of the obscured portion and is displayed outside of the obscured portion. Finally, the method can include displaying a change to the map at the release location when the touch gesture ends. Specifically, at the release location, items such as communication pings can be placed onto the map.

  • Patent number: 11551512
Abstract: A method includes storing multiple bet configurations for a gaming machine. Each bet configuration specifies a respective pay table and a set of bet levels including a minimum bet level. A payout percentage may be selected for each bet level. The pay tables each include a number N of prize levels and each prize level corresponding to a respective numerical prize value for a win on the gaming machine while the corresponding bet configuration is in an active state at the gaming machine. The minimum bets for the different bet configurations are unequal and are related by a translation ratio. The different numerical prize values for the different bet configurations are also related by that same translating ratio. A bet configuration may be placed in the active state at a gaming machine and plays are then resolved according to the bet configuration in the active state.

  • Publication number: 20220414946
Abstract: In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for secure and authenticated tracking of entity possession via a lightweight centralized or distributed ledger. Ownership records of different entities may be recorded on an immutable ledger such that provenance of the entities is verifiable and a user cannot create or counterfeit an entity. In some implementations, the system may store metadata of entities in a separate database that may store records for each entity and correspond to the respective entity's virtual identifier, enabling the ledger records to contain much less data, saving memory resources and the energy that is required to maintain the ledger. In some implementations, distributed incremental values may be provided to members of an ownership or possession chain of an entity, which may encourage compliance, reporting of ownership transfer, and encourage additional transfers.

  • Patent number: 11534679
Abstract: An immersive amusement system features a path to be traversed by participants, a first array of devices mounted on a first side of said path, and a second array of devices mounted on an opposing second side of said path. Each device comprises either a beam emitter operable to transmit a respective visible beam, or a beam receiver operable to detect receipt thereby of a visible beam. The arrayed devices are setup in co-operable pairs, of which each co-operable pair comprises a beam emitter in one of said arrays and a corresponding beam receiver in the other of said arrays. A controller operably connected to the arrayed devices is configured to selectively activate and deactivate said beam emitters to cause transmission of visible beams from said beam emitters to said corresponding beam receivers, and to monitor for breaking of any of said visible beams by any of said participants.

Abstract: A method includes displaying a first level game symbol array and a second level game symbol array through a display system of a reel-type gaming machine. The first level game symbol array is produced by populating at least some game symbol locations included in an initial array of game symbol locations. Any such populated location may be populated with a first trigger symbol including a representation of a single-symbol reel. The second level game symbol array is displayed by, for each respective game symbol location populated with the first trigger symbol in the first level game symbol array, conducting a respective single-symbol reel spin simulation of the representation of the single-symbol reel. A bonus play is displayed through the gaming machine at least in part in response to a predefined number of second trigger symbols being included in the second level game symbol array.

  • Publication number: 20220401838
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a system for analyzing a gameplay of a first video game. During operation, the system can obtain a stream of video frames associated with the gameplay. The system can then analyze the video frames to identify a set of features of the first video game. Here, a respective feature indicates the characteristics of a virtual object in a virtual environment of the first video game supported by a first game engine. Subsequently, the system can derive, based on the set of identified features, a set of parameters indicating one or more physical characteristics of one or more virtual objects in the virtual environment. The system can store the set of derived parameters in a file format readable by a second game engine different from the first game engine. This allows the second game engine to support a second video game that incorporates the physical characteristics.
