Abstract: A ball turret includes a turret shell having a rear portion and a front portion. The rear portion and the front portion are assembled to form the turret shell. The shell includes a block assembly configured to mount to a mounting element of a weapon system, and a yoke carriage assembly configured to receive and mount to the block assembly. A number of guide rods within the turret shell are configured to mount the yoke carriage assembly thereto and to provide a recoil shock absorber in response to a discharge of the weapon system. The yoke carriage assembly is releasably mounted to the block assembly.

Abstract: A leash is described. It includes a length of strap extending between a first and a second end along a longitudinal axis. The strap is folded along the longitudinal axis to form a loop. The leash also includes a strap length adjustment mechanism attached to the strap intermediate the loop and a terminating end of the strap, wherein the terminating end is attached to attachment hardware configured to reversibly receive a collar of an animal. The adjustment mechanism has a length fixing configuration and an adjustment configuration, wherein the length fixing configuration is configured to prevent changes in the lengths of the loop of strap and the length of slack strap, and wherein the adjustment configuration is configured to allow for adjustment of the diameter of the loop of strap and the length of slack strap.

The display and input device portions can be detachably connected to each other through a multi-pivot hinge unit operable to rotate about one or more computing device axes defined between the display and input device portions to move the computing device between open and closed states. A hinge cover portion can be connected to the first portion operable to detachably receive and surround the multi-pivot hinge of the computing device. A protective shell can be formed between first and second portions.

A ball-and-socket connector is used to removably attach one end of the jaw displacer to the anchor plate. Abstract: A beverage can coupler includes a rigid cylindrical body having a first internal portion and a second internal portion. A spacer is located inside the body and separates the first internal portion from the second internal portion. The spacer has a through opening therein to allow fluid communication between the first internal portion and the second internal portion. A first piercing member is attached to the spacer and extends into the first internal portion and a second piercing member is attached to the spacer and extends into the second internal portion.

Abstract: An adaptive harness includes a neck girth loop and a torso girth loop. Each loop has lateral arcs on opposite sides of and extending in directions substantially parallel to a sagittal plane. Each of the lateral arcs has an adjustable length. The loops are connected to one another ventrally and dorsally. The harness further includes a tension force transfer path that extends circumferentially along the neck girth loop from a tension force redirector, or ring, on the neck girth loop in the sagittal plane through the lateral arcs of the neck girth loop. The harness further includes a tension force conduit, or strap, secured along the path. When a tension force is applied to the strap outwardly from the ring, such as the pulling of a leash attaching to a leash coupling on the strap, the lengths of the lateral arcs of the neck girth loop are shortened, resulting in a better fit of the harness to the subject.

The motion or change of position of a buoy attached to fishing gear is determined via sensors mounted on the buoy and compared to typical buoy motion. If the buoy has moved beyond a threshold value from its original location, an alert is sent to the fisherman. The available sensor data will be used to determine the likelihood of loss or entanglement. This alert facilitates recovery of lost or entangled gear by identifying where immediate retrieval efforts should be focused. The number of traps lost to the ocean that otherwise would continue to trap or entangle marine life may be reduced.
