  • Patent number: 10973293
Abstract: A composite case for an electronic device is provided. The composite case includes: a resilient portion dimensioned to cover two end portions of the electronic device and less than half of a back portion of the electronic device; and a rigid portion dimensioned to fit with the resilient portion, the rigid portion dimensioned to provide a cover for at least part of the back portion of the electronic device. A method of protecting an electronic device is provided. The method includes: attaching a rigid material to a resilient material; dimensioning both the rigid material and the resilient material to contain an electronic device; configuring the rigid material, but not the resilient material, to cover most or all of a back portion of the electronic device; and providing an opening to allow a screen portion of the electronic device to be accessed through the opening in the rigid and resilient material.

  • Patent number: 10884453
Abstract: A method of protecting a computing device is provided including detachably connecting a leading edge of a base portion of the computing device to one or more device receiving members of a first portion of a case. The trailing edge of the base portion is secured to the first portion of the case. The first portion of the case may substantially envelope the base portion of the computing device and a plurality of perimetral fastening members may be detachably connected to a second portion of the case. The perimetral fastening members may detachably connect to perimetral edges of a screen portion of the computing device. A protective shell may be formed around the computing device by pivoting adjoining edges of the first and second portions of the case about a linking pliable member in communication with the trailing edge of the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20200393096
Abstract: An LED lighting system includes first, second and third conductive wires, a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs), a transparent insulated layer, and a universal serial bus (USB) plug. The first conductive wire is configured to carry a positive charge. The second conductive wire is configured to carry a negative charge. The third conductive wire is configured to carry a ground charge. The first, second and third conductive wires are arranged side-by-side. The plurality of LEDs are mounted to each of the first, second and third conductive wires. The transparent insulated layer extends around and encapsulates the first, second and third conductive wires and the plurality of LEDs. The USB plug is electrically connected to the first, second and third conductive wires.

  • Patent number: 10860680
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computing system program products for dynamic correlation batch calculation for Big Data. Embodiments of the invention include calculating a correlation for a modified computation set based on a group of components calculated for the pre-modified computation set and one or more groups of components calculated for a computation set to be excluded from the pre-modified computation set and a computation set to be included in the pre-modified computation set, where the size of the to-be-included computation set may or may not be equal to the size of the to-be-excluded computation set. When the size of the to-be-excluded computation set is smaller than half the size of the pre-modified computation set, dynamic correlation batch calculation may reduce computations thereby increasing calculation efficiency, saving computation resources, and reducing computing system's power consumption.

  • Patent number: 10849398
Abstract: A composite case for a computing device including a first portion to protect and detachably connect to a display portion. The first portion may have perimetral fasteners disposed on its edges. A second portion is for protecting and detachably connecting to an input device portion of the computing device. The second portion may have perimetral fasteners disposed on its edges. The display and input device portions can be detachably connected to each other through a multi-pivot hinge unit operable to rotate about one or more computing device axes defined between the display and input device portions to move the computing device between open and closed states. A hinge cover portion can be connected to the first portion operable to detachably receive and surround the multi-pivot hinge of the computing device. A protective shell can be formed between first and second portions.
