Abstract: A system and method for connecting one or more client applications with one or more knowledge representation servers and communicating there between includes an application programming interface (API) and a hypergraph transfer protocol (HGTP), for facilitating communication between the one or more client applications and one or more knowledge representation servers responsive to a client application request. The client application request includes an API call for a specific entity that is received by a first knowledge representation server. If the first knowledge representation server does not manage the specific entity, the first knowledge representation server forwards the specific entity call to a second knowledge representation server via the HGTP using a universal unique identifier (UUID) associated with the specific entity having encoded therein a network address for the second knowledge representation server.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of determining if a subject has an increased risk of suffering from memory impairment. The methods comprise determining the influx of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) into the brain from plasma in a test subject and comparing this measured influx to a normal standard influx. An increase in influx of PUFAs from the plasma into the brain is indicative that the subject has an increased risk of suffering from memory impairment compared to a normal individual.

Abstract: Embodiments may provide a cache for query results that can adapt the cache-space utilization to the popularity of the various topics represented in the query stream. For example, a method for query processing may perform receiving a plurality of queries for data, determining at least one topic associated with each query, and requesting data responsive to each query from a data cache comprising a plurality of partitions, including at least a static cache partition, a dynamic cache partition, and a temporal cache partition, the temporal cache partition may store data based on a topic associated with the data, and may be further partitioned into a plurality of topic portions, each portion may store data relating to an associated topic, wherein the associated topic may be selected from among determined topics of queries received by the computer system, and the data cache may retrieve data for the queries from the computer system.

Abstract: A system and method are described for enhancing readability of document images by operating on each document individually. Monochromatic light sources operating at different wavelengths of light can be used to obtain greyscale images. The greyscale images can then be used in any desired image enhancement algorithm. In one example algorithm, an automated method removes image background noise and improves sharpness of the scripts and characters using edge detection and local color contrast computation.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for the automatic re-analysis of genetic testing data. A centralized computing system can analyze genetic testing data and automatically re-analyze the genetic testing data when the centralized computing system is updated. In some embodiments, the centralized computing system can be updated with new or updated software, genetic analysis tools, and/or genetic analysis methods. The genetic testing data can then be re-analyzed using the new or updated software, tools, or methods. The genetic testing data can also be re-analyzed if/when available databases or knowledgebases are updated, such as when a new study or report is published. Based on the re-analysis, a suggested diagnoses and/or treatment plans can be revised.
