Abstract: A head for an oral-care implement, having an elongated mounting surface with an outer circumference, includes two outer rows of tufts extending from the mounting surface along the longitudinal axis in proximity to the outer circumference, and two inner rows of tufts extending from the mounting surface and arranged between and parallel to the outer rows. The tufts of the outer rows have a longitudinal extension and an elongated cross-sectional area perpendicular thereto. The elongated cross-sectional area has a longer axis and a shorter axis, wherein the longer axis defines an angle ? of about 20-65 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis. The tufts of the outer rows are inclined relative to the mounting surface by an inclination angle (?) of about 65-80 degrees. The tufts of the inner rows are inclined relative to the mounting surface by an inclination angle (?) of about 60-85 degrees.
Abstract: An oral care implement comprises a head and a handle, the head being repeatedly attachable to and detachable from the handle. The head is made from a non-magnetic and/or non-ferromagnetic material, while the handle is at least partially made from a magnetic and/or ferromagnetic material.

Abstract: A razor blade having a substrate with a cutting edge being defined by a sharpened tip. The substrate has a thickness of greater than about 2.30 micrometers measured at a distance of four micrometers from the blade tip, a thickness of greater than about 4.26 micrometers measured at a distance of eight micrometers from the blade tip, and greater than about 7.93 micrometers measured at a distance of sixteen micrometers from the blade tip. A hard coating joined to the substrate has a thickness of 700 Angstroms to about 3500 Angstroms. An outer layer joined to a coated substrate is discontinuous. The outer layer may be produced from a dispersion comprising about 0.03 g/L or less of telomer or from about 0.5 % solids or less of telomer by weight of composition. The novel razor blade cuts at less than 100 % cutting efficiency using a single fiber cutting efficiency measure.

Abstract: A shaving razor cartridge having a housing with a primary guard and a secondary cap. A bridge member is integrally molded as part of the housing. A plurality of spaced apart parallel ribs of the bridge member extend transverse to the cutting edge of the first blade. The plurality of spaced part ribs define a primary cap surface and a secondary guard surface. A first blade mounted to the housing between the primary guard and the primary cap surface. A second blade having a cutting edge extends in a same direction as the cutting edge of the first blade and is mounted to the housing between the secondary guard surface and the secondary cap. The plurality of spaced apart parallel ribs define a plurality of rinse openings extending thru the bridge member.
Abstract: A shaving razor cartridge with a housing having a blade platform. A first blade retention member is positioned on the blade platform and has a front wall formed by a first wall and a second wall that define an obtuse included angle. A second blade retention member is positioned on the blade platform and has a rear wall facing the front wall of the first blade retention member. The rear wall has a first wall and a second wall that define an obtuse included angle. A blade member is positioned between the front wall and the rear wall. The second walls have a contact length of about 0.2 mm to about 1.0 mm.
Abstract: A shaving razor system with a handle having a first end with a top surface defining recessed surface between a pair of guide surfaces. A shaving razor cartridge is removably mounted to the first end of the handle. The shaving razor cartridge includes a housing and a blade carrier assembly. The blade carrier assembly has a blade carrier with a blade platform at a first end, a tab extending from the blade platform to a second end. The tab has a crest between a pair of angled surfaces of the tab. A blade is mounted to the blade platform. The blade has a cutting edge. The tab flexes between a first position and a second position.
Abstract: A shaving razor cartridge with a housing having a bottom surface with a pair of guide members. A blade carrier has a first end with a blade platform with a tab extending from the blade platform to a second end. A blade is mounted to the blade platform. The blade platform is mounted to the bottom surface with the tab being unsupported and positioned between the pair of guides members.
Abstract: A personal care product system having a personal care product stand and a handle is provided. The handle can be docked with the personal care product stand when not in use. The position of the handle relative to the personal care product stand is maintained by a docking magnet in the handle and a docking magnet in the personal care product stand. The handle is tilted with respect to a vertical axis and a majority of the handle is unsupported.

Abstract: A personal care product system having a stand and a handle is provided. The handle can be docked with the stand when not in use. The position of the handle relative to the stand is maintained by a docking magnet in the handle and a docking magnet in the stand. The stand includes a base having a stand resting plane and an opposing top surface. The handle extends upward from the opposing top surface of the stand and is tilted with respect to a vertical axis with a majority of the handle being unsupported. A handle resting plane intersects the stand resting plane at an included angle of less than 90 degrees, and an axis of polarity of the docking magnet in the handle intersects the handle resting plane at an included angle between 15 and 35 degrees to facilitate the tilted position of the handle.

Abstract: A novel cutting-edge structure and method and apparatus for manufacturing the cutting-edge structure is provided. The cutting-edge structure is comprised of naturally derived or renewable material at greater than 50% by volume fraction. In one embodiment, the naturally derived material is a cellulose nanostructure such as a cellulose nanocrystal. The cellulose nanocrystal is processed using a base or mold structure to provide a cutting edge of any shape such as linear or circular edge structures. The process includes dual cure steps to produce an optimal cutting-edge structure without shrinkage. The formed cutting-edge structure can be utilized as a razor blade as it is formed with very sharp tip and edge suitable for cutting hair. The base structure can form one or more cutting-edge structures simultaneously.

Abstract: This invention relates to a novel application of liquid-infused surface materials (LISM) to at least a portion of one or more surfaces of razor components (e.g., frame, housing, clips, blade supports, blade body, blade edge, lubricating bodies, guard, handle, grip, button). If applied to a skin contacting surface of a component, the one or more LISM layers may generally be abrasion-resistant, long-lasting or non-erodible, desirably elevating shaving performance, such as glide, comfort, rinsing, and cleanliness, while also simplifying the manufacturing process.
