Abstract: A door assembly of a vehicle includes a first door panel movable at least partially across a door opening from a first side of the door opening toward a second side of the door opening, a second door panel spaced apart from the first door panel and movable at least partially across the door opening from the first side toward the second side. A first magnetic element is located at the first door panel and a second magnetic element is located at the second door panel. The second magnetic element is interactive with the first magnetic element such that moving of the first door across the door opening causes movement of the second door panel across the door opening.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling a transmission of a vehicle that has a selectable one-way clutch. The system includes a sensor system, an anti-lock brake system (ABS), and a controller configured to, by a processor: monitor for a deceleration event wherein an estimated output speed acceleration of the vehicle is reduced below a first threshold, receive a status of the ABS, and output one or more control signals to command the transmission to inhibit the application of the selectable one-way clutch in response to detection of the deceleration event when the selectable one-way clutch is not applied, and the estimated output speed acceleration of the vehicle is either: (i) below the first threshold while the anti-lock brake system ABS of the vehicle is active, or (ii) below a second threshold while the ABS is inactive, wherein the first threshold is greater than the second threshold.

Abstract: A system for on-vehicle camera alignment monitoring includes an on-vehicle camera in communication with a controller. The controller monitors vehicle operating parameters and camera signal parameters, and captures an image file from the on-vehicle camera. A first level analysis of the image file, the vehicle operating parameters, and the camera signal parameters is executed to detect dynamic conditions and image feature parameters that affect camera alignment. An error with one of the dynamic conditions or the image feature parameters that affects the camera alignment is detected. A second level analysis of the camera signal parameters is executed to identify a root cause indicating one of the dynamic conditions or the image feature parameters that affects the camera alignment based upon the error. A camera alignment-related fault is detected based upon the root cause, and vehicle operation is controlled based upon the camera alignment-related fault.

Abstract: A method and a system for a high-voltage (HV) battery pack having multiple rechargeable energy storage devices (RESSs) that are connectable to an external load via a power bus via a pre-charge circuit in parallel with a first electrical contactor. The RESSs are monitored via current sensors. The current sensors monitor current levels between the RESSs and the power bus, detect a low current level from one of the current sensors, identify one of the RESSs associated with the low current level, activate the respective pre-charge circuit, monitor the electrical current, and determine a state of the respective first electrical contactor based upon the electrical current.
Abstract: A system for quantitively determining quality for pavement markings disposed along pavement on a roadway includes one or more controllers in wireless communication with a plurality of vehicles. The one or more controllers receive image data represents the pavement markings disposed along the pavement collected by the plurality of vehicles. The one or more controllers execute instructions to determine at least one of a color distance measurement between a mean color space value of the pavement markings and an ideal marking color space value and a marking intensity contrast ratio between the pavement markings and the pavement.

Abstract: Presented are torque converters (TC) with hydraulic systems for converter feed and clutch control, methods for making/operating such TC assemblies, and vehicles equipped with such TC assemblies. A TC assembly includes a housing that drivingly connects to an electric motor, and an output member that drivingly connects to a multi-gear transmission. Rotatable within the TC housing are a turbine attached to the TC output member and an impeller juxtaposed with the turbine. A lockup clutch disposed inside the TC housing, between the turbine and housing, is operable to lock the housing to the output member. A disconnect clutch disposed inside the housing, between the impeller and housing, is operable to lock the housing to the impeller. A pump is attached to the TC housing and drivingly connected to the motor for feeding fluid into the housing to increase pressure within the TC chamber and activate the lockup and disconnect clutches.

Abstract: Preemptively charging rechargeable energy storage systems (RESSs) in advance of an electrical grid outage. The preemptive charging may include generating a weather map of a geographical area anticipated to be impacted with a storm or a natural event of a severity predicted to induce a power outage, which may include generating a distribution map of an electrical power distribution network within the geographical area, generating an outage map by overlaying the weather map relative to the distribution map to identify one or more intersections where the power outage is predicted, and scheduling or otherwise implementing preemptively charging of one or more the RESSs downstream of the intersections in advance of the power outage.
