The method includes defining a core offset value for a cut, the cut having a starting point and an ending point, setting a plunge speed for a saw to a first plunge speed, and changing the plunge speed to a second plunge speed when the saw reaches the core offset value.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a cutlery dispenser for dispensing cutlery utensils. The cutlery dispenser may include a housing, a cover, a wedge protrusion, and a pair of sweeper arms. The housing may include an interior space and be configured to receive a number of cutlery utensils loaded therein. The cover may enclose a portion of the interior space and be configured to move between a closed position for dispensing the loaded cutlery utensils from the interior space and an open position for loading the cutlery utensils into the interior space. The wedge protrusion may be configured to engage a leading one of the loaded cutlery utensils when the cover is in the closed position and to disengage the leading one of the loaded cutlery utensils when the cover is in an open position.

Abstract: Anti-microbial compositions for cleaning and sanitizing skin are disclosed. The anti-microbial compositions preferably comprises at least one quaternary ammonium chloride active and results in low irritation cleansing and sanitizing products that allow more frequent application.

Abstract: An automated flowable material dispenser for dispensing flowable material from a flowable material container is provided. The dispenser may include a dispenser housing and a motor assembly. The dispenser housing may include a dispensing opening and be configured to receive the flowable material container therein. The motor assembly may be positioned within the dispenser housing and configured to translate with respect to the dispenser housing between a home position and a dispensing position to dispense the flowable material from the flowable material container. The motor assembly may include a motor housing and a motor positioned at least partially within the motor housing.

Abstract: A method of reducing sheet product waste generated during use of a sheet product dispenser in a particular location and over a broad range of usage rates includes designing a dispenser. The design includes determining a desired housing size to obtain a top to bottom height for sheet product roll storage within the housing, dividing the height by two to obtain a maximum roll diameter, locating two roll holders in the housing so that each holder may accept a roll having the maximum roll diameter, positioning a first roll of the maximum roll diameter in a first one of the two roll holders, and positioning a second roll of the maximum roll diameter in a second one of the two roll holders so that two rolls of equivalent length are configured to be dispensed sequentially from the dispenser. The installation and use of two rolls of maximum roll diameter reduces waste. Dispensers formed according to this method are also described.

Abstract: A disposable cup lid for use with a beverage container can include a base, an annular rim, a crown, and a dispensing section having a drinking aperture. The annular rim can be disposed about the base and can be configured to engage the beverage container. The crown can extend upward from the base and can include an upper surface, one or more inner sidewalls, and one or more outer sidewalls. The dispensing section can be located within a portion of the crown and can include an upper surface, one or more inner sidewalls, and one or more outer sidewalls. The dispensing section can include at least one generally straight portion of the inner sidewall that is directly opposed to at least one generally straight portion of the outer sidewall. The drinking aperture can be formed through the upper surface of the dispensing section for allowing the passage of fluid therethrough.

Abstract: A counter-mounted dispenser for dispensing a skincare product includes an above-counter spout and a below-counter drive housing for engaging a replaceable refill unit. The refill unit includes a reservoir configured for holding a volume of skincare fluid, a pump assembly for pumping skincare fluid from the reservoir, and a dispensing tube for delivering the pumped skincare fluid. The reservoir defines a central axis and includes a handle positioned on an outer perimeter of the reservoir. A pump assembly is mounted on the reservoir in a position that is offset from the center of the reservoir in a direction opposite the reservoir's handle.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide urinal screens for reduced splashing. The urinal screen includes an outer ring and a web portion. The web portion includes a plurality of web strings disposed in a mesh pattern such that a plurality of open areas are defined between the web strings. Portions of the web strings forming a first face of the web portion configured to receive urine in use are substantially rounded in profile.

Abstract: A sheet product dispenser for dispensing a roll of sheet product mounted thereto includes a housing portion and a load inducement portion. The housing portion defines a space operative to receive the roll of sheet product for rotation about an axis to dispense the sheet product. The load inducement portion is operative to induce a frictional force between the roll of sheet product and the load inducement portion during rotation of the roll of sheet product. The load inducement portion includes a guide member, and a load member slidably engaged with the guide member and operative to contact and apply a load to an outer surface of the roll of sheet product.

Abstract: A sheet product dispenser for dispensing sheet product from a roll of sheet product is provided. The sheet product dispenser includes a housing defining an interior space configured to receive the roll of sheet product therein. The housing includes a nozzle configured to allow the sheet product to be dispensed therethrough and out of the interior space of the housing. The nozzle includes a first orifice disposed at or near an outer end of the nozzle, a second orifice disposed at or near an inner end of the nozzle, and a cavity disposed between the first orifice and the second orifice. The first orifice, the second orifice, and the cavity are configured to allow the sheet product to pass therethrough. The first orifice has a first cross-sectional area, the second orifice has a second cross-sectional area, and the cavity has a third cross-sectional area, wherein the third cross-sectional area is greater than the first cross-sectional area and greater than the second cross sectional area.

Abstract: Methods for securing a shrinkable film to a paperboard substrate and methods for making paperboard containers therefrom. In one or more embodiments, a band of adhesive may be applied about a perimeter of a paperboard substrate having a first edge and a second edge opposed to one another and a third edge and a fourth edge opposed to one another. The band of adhesive may at least partially surround a first area that is substantially free from the adhesive. A second area that may be substantially free from the adhesive may be located between the third edge and the first area. The first area and the second area may be separated by the band of adhesive. A shrinkable film may be secured to the paperboard substrate with the adhesive to produce a paperboard blank. The third edge and the fourth edge may be overlapped to form a sidewall. A bottom panel may be secured to the sidewall at or adjacent the second edge. The first edge may be curled to form a brim.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a cutlery dispenser for dispensing wrapped cutlery. The cutlery dispenser may include a wrapped cutlery band comprising a plurality of cutlery packets separably connected to one another in a serial manner. The cutlery dispenser also may include a nozzle assembly configured to allow the cutlery packets to be dispensed therethrough. The present disclosure also provides a method for dispensing wrapped cutlery. The method may include the step of providing a cutlery dispenser comprising a nozzle assembly and a wrapped cutlery band, wherein the wrapped cutlery band comprises a plurality of cutlery packets separably connected to one another in a serial manner. The method also may include the step of dispensing the cutlery packets through the nozzle assembly.

The method includes unwinding a paper web from a parent roll on a converting line, the converting line having a plurality of operational parameters, the paper web including a plurality of sections in a sequence, and a plurality of marks, each mark being associated with an action score, at least one action score having an action value, reading at least one of the marks, obtaining the action score associated with a second one of the marks, the second of the marks being a next mark with an action value after the one read mark, calculating a distance between the at least one read mark and the second one, changing at least one operational parameter of the converting line based upon the action score, and converting the paper web into a paper product.

Abstract: Dispensing towels includes, using a motor assembly configured to cause a leading edge of the toweling to be extended from a housing of the dispenser and to cause the toweling to be subsequently retracted back into the housing, (a) the step of extending the toweling exterior of the housing for grasping by a user; and (b) subsequent thereto, the steps of (1) retracting the toweling into the housing using the motor assembly; (2) sensing a leading edge of the toweling, using a sensor, while retracting the toweling; and (3) ceasing retracting of the toweling into the housing using the motor assembly as a function of sensing the leading edge of the toweling using the sensor. The toweling is advanced by the motor assembly such that a line of perforations in the toweling, along which the user tears the toweling, is located downstream of the sensor.
