Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for enriching for multiple genomic regions using a first bait set that selectively hybridizes to a first set of genomic regions of a nucleic acid sample and a second bait set that selectively hybridizes to a second set of genomic regions of the nucleic acid sample. These bait set panels can selectively enrich for one or more nucleosome-associated regions of a genome, said nucleosome-associated regions comprising genomic regions having one or more genomic base positions with differential nucleosomal occupancy, wherein the differential nucleosomal occupancy is characteristic of a cell or tissue type of origin or disease state.
Abstract: The present embodiments relate generally to ultrasound imaging systems and methods that provide a user interface on the touchscreen display. The user interface includes an ultrasound image feed and a single control for modifying imaging depth of the ultrasound image feed. When input via the single control is received to modify the imaging depth, the system: adjusts frequency of ultrasound signals being used to acquire the ultrasound image feed; adjusts a beamformer parameter of the ultrasound signals being used to acquire the ultrasound image feed; receives first image data of the ultrasound image feed based on the adjusted frequency and the adjusted beamformer parameter; based on the first image data, adjusts Time Gain Compensation (TGC) of the ultrasound image feed; and receives second image data of the ultrasound image feed based on the adjusted frequency, beamformer parameter and TGC. Display of the second image data on the touchscreen display is then optimized without receipt of additional user input.

Abstract: A method of displaying a GUI including a multidimensional array of axes includes constructing a multidimensional array of axes, each axis comprising a plurality of entities located therealong, each entity configured to contain data for display on the axis; for a particular axis of the axes of the array, determining an entity first encountered in a first direction along the particular axis which contains data for display on the particular axis; displaying a view of the array of axes, which view comprises at least a portion of the particular axis that precedes the first encountered data-containing entity in the first direction; and, in conjunction with the displaying of the view of the array of axes, providing an indicator of an absence of data for display being contained in each entity of the particular axis preceding the first data-containing entity encountered in the first direction.
Abstract: A medical dressing is provided. The dressing has a central portion and a border portion, and comprises a backing layer, an adhesive body contact layer and a pad arranged in the central portion between the backing layer and the adhesive body contact layer. The pad is symmetric about a longitudinal center line and the dressing comprises a lobed portion on each side of the center line. The central portion of the dressing has a tensile strength in the longitudinal (y) direction of at least 60 N, preferably at least 70 N at an elongation of 25%, as measured by the test method ASTM D 882-12. The medical dressing may be used for pressure ulcer prevention, such as at the sacrum region of a human body.

Abstract: Described is a negative wound therapy (NPWT) dressing that includes a backing layer and an adhesive skin contact layer, the adhesive skin contact layer being configured to detachably adhere the dressing to a dermal surface, wherein the backing layer includes a coupling member. The coupling member includes a tubing configured to connect the dressing to a negative pressure source and to a remote fluid collector.
Abstract: A method of training an artificial neural network to predict gene expression for a patient having a pathological condition is provided. The method comprises obtaining a set of histopathological images from a database of patients having the pathological condition, collecting from the database a set of gene expression profiles corresponding to the histopathological images, identifying in the set of gene expression profiles a set of considered genes, selecting a training subset of the considered genes comprising genes characterized by similar median gene expression values, and training the neural network to predict a gene expression value of an input histopathological image, using gene expression profiles of the genes in the training subset simultaneously.

Abstract: The present technology provides for a remote continuous monitoring system that monitors a patient's vital signs and generates an alarm in response to detecting a likely onset of an adverse event. The monitoring system advantageously allows patients recovering from clinical treatments to do so at home, outside of a hospital. Furthermore, the monitoring system provides continuous monitoring of patient vital signs, which advantageously provides more information than intermittent manual measurements of patient vital signs typical in a hospital. The monitoring system, therefore, may more readily and more timely detect a likely onset of an adverse event.
