  • Patent number: 4981447
Abstract: The present invention discloses an electrical connector having a first frame and a second frame each having a U-shape portion. The first and second frames are provided at the end edges of the leg portions of the U-shape portions thereof with inwardly turned engagement portions. These engagement portions of the first and second frames of the first and second frames are inserted, as brought face to face with each other, into engagement grooves formed in left- and right-hand lateral sides of a contact piece supporting member, so that the first and second frames are mounted on the contact piece supporting member. That is, the first and second frames surround the contact piece supporting member with no portions of the frames overlapping each other. A cap which overlaps portions of the frames may be slidably put and mounted on a signal cable.

  • Patent number: 4971436
Abstract: In projection device light from a point light source unit is reflected by a first reflecting mirror to produce parallel rays, which are applied to a color active matrix liquid crystal display unit. The parallel rays having passed through the liquid crystal display unit are converted by a second reflecting mirror into a bundle of rays of a desired solid angle for projection onto a screen.

  • Patent number: 4969843
Abstract: In a contact plug connector to be coupled with a socket having contact ends, the contact plug includes an insulative body which encloses a plurality of separated terminal liune extender strips combined with two unslotted carrier ends, an insulative base which mounts with the body such that contact mounts for the extenders strips are accessible for electrical contact, and a housing which encloses the body and the base. The extender strips are formed on one metal plate in this invention, but are defined and separated by slots formed on the metal plate. Although these extender strips are fragile, their handling becomes convenient with the unslotted carrier ends that are cut off in the process of assembling the plug connector.

  • Patent number: 4963503
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device comprises, a plurality of display electrodes which are selectively energized through on-off control of thin film transistors. In order to reduce the channel length of the thin film transistors to increase operation speed and obtain uniform characteristics each display electrode and an associated transistor source electrode is formed on one of a pair of transparent substrates of the liquid crystal display device, a semiconductor layer is formed between the display electrode and source electrode, a gate insulating film is formed on the semiconductor layer, and a gate electrode is formed on a portion of the gate insulating film between the display electrode and source electrode. Then, ions are implanted into the semiconductor layer with the gate electrode used as a mask, thus rendering portions of the semiconductor layer contiguous to the display electrode and source electrode into ohmic layers.

  • Patent number: 4961710
Abstract: A memory card connector arranged is related such that, at the time of initial insertion and removal of a memory card, the contact pieces of the connector do not come in contact with the external contact pieces of a memory card, thus preventing the operator from receiving the spring loads stored in the contact pieces, at the time of such insertion and removal. At a set position of the memory card, the slider engaged with the memory card is moved toward the contact pieces with the use of a raised guide surface. Accordingly, the contact pieces displaced against the resiliency thereof come in contact with the external contact pieces of the memory card.

  • Patent number: 4957454
Abstract: A pin jack, an electric connector element having a bored hole to receive a pin plug, is improved to have flexible adaptability in light of the size of openings to be formed on a terminal plate. Normally audio class pin jacks are non-coaxial, but radio level or higher frequency class pin connectors are of coaxial cable formation. These different kinds of connectors need openings with different diameters which lead to terminal plates having mixed size openings in order to meet mixed mountings. This difficulty is solved by rendering a inventive pin jack with two different concentric mounting diameters, of which a larger one of the diameters, which may be referred to as jacket ring, is externally formed to cover a portion of a cylindrical extension and is to be integrally connected to a cubic body base.

  • Patent number: 4954097
Abstract: In a connector plug with a locking mechanism which can be locked to the mating socket, no matter what part of the plug may be gripped when inserting it into the mating socket, and can be unlocked only by pulling a tubular member of the plug, an insulating body holding pin contacts is disposed in a cylindrical front half portion of a metal cover whose rear half portion is semi-cylindrical. The cylindrical portion of the metal cover has cut therein U-shaped grooves, defining tongue-shaped locking pieces each having a protrusion. The semi-cylindrical portion of the metal cover has attached thereto a metal clamper for clamping a cable and is covered with a semi-cylindrical auxiliary cover to form a rear cylindrical portion. Elastic support pieces of a resin material for supporting the tongue-shaped locking pieces on the inside thereof are axially slidably mounted in the cylindrical portion of the metal cover, and the elastic support pieces are forwardly biased by a coiled spring disposed around the metal cover.

  • Patent number: 4941837
Abstract: A socket and plug coupling assembly wherein the socket is a box-like frame with walls of the top and front partially removed, and has pins arranged on a bottom to extend upwardly. At the base of the pins the remaining front stub wall forms a brace in which a slope is formed to be inclined inwardly downwardly of the socket frame. The plug is shaped to be a box-like frame with openings on a bottom continuing to a front wall and the plug has contact members inside the frame openings facing frontwardly. A nail is provided at a rear end of the plug frame extending downwardly from the bottom. In a coupling action of the plug with the socket, first, the nail of the plug is obliquely contacted on the slope of the socket via a face to face approach of the plug toward the socket and then, rotating inwardly about the contact of the nail with the slope, the plug is turned to couple with the socket.
