Abstract: An automatic feedback control system for use with an off-road vehicle having an adjustable-elevation, ground-engaging implement, such as an agricultural tractor with a three-point hitch and a plough or cultivator, is disclosed. The automatic control system provides an engine-sensing draft control system which adjusts the height or elevation of the ground-engaging implement so as to maintain the draft or load forces experienced by the vehicle at a substantially constant level. The determination of the draft being produced by the ground-engaging implement is determined by the engine speed deviation from a target point speed which is indicated by an operator-set desired no-load engine speed and an operator-set engine lug-down value or load.

Abstract: An illumination device for producing uniform illumination of a surface, comprising several parallel optical conductors which are placed above an optically reflecting surface, and whose reflecting outside sheath is removed locally at least in such a way that the light thereby emerging from the optical conductor is reflected by the reflecting surface to the surface to be illuminated. The optical conductors are spaced at such intervals and placed at such a distance above the reflecting surface that the light reflected by the reflecting surface can reach the surface to be illuminated on the other side of the optical conductors through the space between the optical conductors in such a way that the most uniform possible illumination of said surface is obtained.

Abstract: An apparatus for spinning includes a polymer inlet zone and a spinneret assembly. A first metering pump for pumping a first set of molten polymer streams of equal flow rate to the polymer inlet zone and a second metering pump for pumping a second set of two molten polymer streams of equal flow rate to the polymer inlet zone are provided. The second pump having twice the capacity of the first pump. The spinneret assembly comprises a pair of spinnerets interchangeably locatable in the spinning pack. One of the spinnerets is adapted to combine the first set of streams to produce three ends of filaments and the other of the spinnerets is adapted to combine each of the first streams with a respective one of the second streams to provide two ends of filaments.
Abstract: An aspirator attachment connectable to a conventional grain/air drill hopper for emptying or filling the hopper with grain or fertilizer. The attachment comprises a simple air flow director which may be readily connected to a discharge port of the centrifugal blower carried by the hopper. Standard tubing or hoses are connected to the air flow director for picking up the grain or fertilizer and for directing discharge thereof to a desired location. Abstract: Method of mounting refined contact surfaces on a substrate and substrate provided with such contact surfaces.A method for mounting contact surface elements on the ends of strip conductors along the edge of a substrate. A solder mixed with adhesive is applied to the soldering surface at ends of the strip conductors. Contact surfaces each having a refined, f.i. gold plated, top surface and an activated, f.i. tin plated, bottom surface, are placed respectively on each soldering surface. Heat is applied to melt the solder particles and provide a good electrical connection between each surface contact and strip conductor. The substrate mounted with the contact elements has a plurality of components mounted on one surface thereof and interconnected by the strip conductors. The substrate is adapted to be plugged into an edge connector along its edge with the mounted contact surface elements.

Abstract: A zero insertion force socket for integrated circuits having a contact pattern formed on the upper surface of a resilient circuit on which an integrated circuit is adapted to be placed with its leads in contact with the contact pattern. A plurality of frames having different sized cutouts conforming to the shape of integrated circuit cases of different sizes are used to position integrated circuits having cases of different sizes at predetermined locations on the contact pattern. The positioning frames are pivotally mounted on a common pin, and they nest together so that at least some of the positioning frames fit within the rectangular cutout of the next larger positioning frame. In order to bias the integrated circuit into the resilient circuit, a lid having a plunger is positioned over the integrated circuit. The plunder contacts the upper surface of the integrated circuit case to force it against the resilient circuit either with a constant force or a constant displacement.
