Abstract: A method for manufacturing a flexible heating appliance comprises placing a heating circuit comprising at least one heating wire between two layers of textile material and combining the latter either directly or with the aid of an adhesive layer, by applying heat and pressure. A lower textile layer consisting of one or several sublayers is placed on the rigid surface of a nail-studded template and the heating circuit is then laid on the lower with its wire being guided about the nail ends protruding from that layer. A second, upper textile layer is then placed on top of the lower one and the heating circuit thereon, and the two layers are joined together by means of a superimposed ironing unit comprising a rigid heatable ironing plate and, on the underside of the latter, an elastic, temperature-stable, heat-conductive pressure plate which covers the remaining protruding ends of the nails, with heating of the ironing unit with pressure and thereby thermally combining the two textile layers.

Abstract: A novel manufacturing process of mold containing continuous holes and used for filter materials, gas dispersive materials, and mold materials. By this invention, the epoxy resin mixture including an epoxy compound having one or more epoxy groups in each mole, a hardener which reacts with and hardens the epoxy compound, emulsifiers, water or water-surface active agent, and fillers respectively is used as the molding material. As the emulsifier, at least two kinds of three different kinds of nonionic emulsifiers of 4-8, 8-17, and 11-15.6 HLB respectively are used together. The molding material is cured to a desired shape to prepare a mold containing continuous holes and for molding, conventional methods such as hardening after casting, for example, are adopted.
Abstract: Ordered copolymers of tere- and isophthalyl halides with diphenyl ether where the phthalyl groups alternate or where the terephthalyl or isophthalyl groups are in blocks are disclosed. These novel ordered copolyetherketones exhibit a higher level of crystallization and more rapid crystallinity behavior than corresponding random copolyetherketones. They also form completely miscible blends with certain aromatic polyetherimides.

Abstract: Solvent-based thermosetting coating composition comprising a hydroxy functional epoxy-polyester graft copolymer and polyfunctional, hydroxy-reactive crosslinking agent. The coating composition may be formulated as hot sprayable, high solids coating composition suitable for use as chip resistant automotive vehicle primer suitable for use on body panel areas subject to chipping by stones, gravel and other road debris. The composition also may be formulated as a high solids composition sprayable with conventional spraying equipment. The hydroxy functional epoxy-polyester graft copolymer is the product of polymerization of lactone monomers in presence of hydroxy functional epoxy ester resin precursor. The precursor resin is the product of modified diepoxide and hydroxy functional secondary amine, the modified diepoxide being the product of the polymerization of lactone monomers in the presence of diepoxide which has been chain extended with dicarboxylic acid.
