Abstract: The present invention relates to improved protective cases for hand-held electronic devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to cases that protect and modify the functionality of an electronic device.

Abstract: A protective cover for a tablet computer is disclosed, which comprises a back cover and a front cover. The front cover includes an input side and a connector including a planar portion and a coupler for removably connecting the front cover to the back cover. The planar portion engages at least portion of a front surface of the tablet computer and the coupler engages an edge of the back cover.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device having a multi-layered construction is disclosed. The multi-layered construction includes three layers that are co-molded to one another and is capable of being lightweight and low-profile, yet provide a high level of impact protection. The first layer generally forms the external back face surface of the case, the third layer generally forms the perimeter bumper of the case and the second layer forms the internal liner of the case and includes an elevated pattern of walls upon which the back face of the mobile device rest upon. The first layer is comprised of material that has a hardness greater than the other two layers. The third layer is comprised of a material that has a hardness that is greater than the second layer. The layers are configured to interact with one another so that they are capable of distributing and absorbing impact forces to mitigate damage to the mobile device.

Abstract: Removable cases for portable electronic devices incorporating memory tags (e.g., NFC memory tags) capable of being read by an electronic reading device are disclosed. The memory tags may be pre-programmed or programmable to contain one or more readable items of identification data associated with the custodian of the device or protective case. The memory tags may also or alternatively include code or executable commands that effectuate certain functionality (e.g., go into silent or airplane mode, call home or a particular person, turn off, check email, set alarm, play music or video, etc.) in another of the user's device. The protective case may protect, shield, and or conceal the tag visually in part or in whole while allowing the tag to be read and the tags position visually identified. Systems and methods to recover lost or misplaced electronic devices using information contained in the memory tag of the protective enclosure are also disclosed.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile or handheld device is disclosed. The case includes front and rear cover components that are configured to rotate relative to one another so that the case is capable of being configured by the user into have multi-mode use configurations. The case includes a rotatable magnetic clasp that rotates to magnetically secure the case in desired configuration. The magnetic clasp includes a rotatable magnet component attached to one end region of the case and a fixedly positioned and oriented magnet secured to another opposing end region of the case. The rotation of the magnet allows the user to re-orient the polarity of the magnetic component to facilitate mechanical and magnetic retention of the desired configuration.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device is disclosed. The protective case includes a front cover and a back cover that is comprised of a shell, which together are configured to receive, retain, cover and protect the mobile device. The shell is configured to receive and retain the mobile device while providing user access to the mobile device. The shell has an outer surface configured to attach to a hinge member which in turn attaches to the front cover. The front cover includes an opaque main region that is configured to overlie the main touchscreen interface region and a generally curved and transparent side region that is configured to overlie a separate touchscreen interface region. When closed the cover is configured to allow for user interaction with the underlying covered screen. The user interaction may be via capacitive and/or mechanical pressure interaction with the touchscreen.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device is disclosed. The protective case includes a front cover, a back cover, and a relatively rigid shell. The front cover includes multiple fold lines that extend across the cover and allow adjacent regions of the cover to rotate or move relative to each other. The shell is configured to receive and retain the mobile device while providing user access to the mobile device. The shell has an outer surface configured to include a latch with an integrated hook. In operation, the latch hooks and retains one end section of the front cover to maintain the device in an angled use position when open. When in the fully closed position the latch fits within an aperture defined within a back end region of the front cover. Magnets incorporated into the front cover assist in maintaining the case in the fully closed position.

The articles of clothing include a plurality of pockets configured to securely store electronic devices and accessories therefore and cable routing to provide seamless integration and connectivity between those devices while allowing user accessibility. A flexible rechargeable battery is also provided and configured to integrate into one or more pockets and connect to other electronic devices through passages positioned within the article of clothing. A wireless Bluetooth media controller is uniquely integrated into the article of clothing to facilitate external wireless control of devices contained within the article of clothing. The articles of clothing are configured to allow liners to be fastened there-within yet maintain usability of cable routing features in the article of clothing and user accessibility to mobile device compartments.

The light bulb adapter has a main housing configured to house electronic circuits for wirelessly receiving controlling commands via WiFi from a user through the use of a software application installed in a mobile device. In operation, the user unplug a light bulb from an existing lighting fixture and plugs the light bulb plug of the light bulb adapter into the lighting fixture. A light bulb is inserted to the light bulb receptacle of the light bulb adapter. The user can connect a mobile device to the light bulb adapter over a wireless local area network via an accessory protocol and control the light bulb adapter, and subsequently the light bulb connected to it, using the accessory protocol.

Abstract: A protective case for a tablet device having a back face and a front face, a touchscreen on its front face, and one or more control buttons and ports on its perimeter walls. The case comprises a shell having front and back sides wherein the front side is configured to receive and retain the tablet device while providing user access to the touchscreen and user access to one or more of the control buttons, said shell including a back wall that is configured to cover at least a portion of the back face of the tablet. The protective case further includes a front cover that includes a tray, a wireless keyboard and keyboard housing. The tray includes opposing side rails and the keyboard housing includes opposing grooves on opposing side walls that are concealed and configured to engage the rails to allow the keyboard housing to slide in and out from the tray in a defined manner. The tray, keyboard and shell may each include magnets to facilitate the positioning of the case in the various open and closed positions.

Abstract: A mobile device auxiliary battery is disclosed. The mobile device auxiliary battery can supply electric current to the mobile device. A processing device associated with the auxiliary battery may be wirelessly connected to the mobile device, such as with a Bluetooth interface, and thereby control operational aspects of the battery, including for example control over supplying power to the mobile device. The auxiliary battery may be part of a charging system or kit that includes a uniquely designed separate charger or part of a protective case. In yet another aspect, the protective case may include unitary bumper flexible bumper co-molded to the body of the case and a male connector extending from a nested portion that is adapted to tilt outward from the case to facilitate insertion of the corresponding female port on the mobile device into the connector and into the case.
