Abstract: A communications radio includes an array of electrodes configured to be disposed on a body part, a radio transceiver, an electrical stimulation transmitter, electromyography (EMG) receive circuitry, and a data processing sub-module which configured to perform radio communication. The communication includes, using the electrical stimulation transmitter and the array of electrodes, presenting semantic messages received via the radio transceiver as electrical stimulation patterns. The communication further includes, via the radio transmitter, transmitting semantic messages determined from EMG signals measured using the array of electrodes and the EMG receive circuitry. The communications radio may further include a garment wearable on the body part with the array of electrodes in electrical contact with skin of the body part.

Abstract: A method for synchronous control of a gantry mechanism with online inertia matching is applicable to a machine tool equipped with a gantry mechanism. The gantry mechanism includes two rails, a crossbeam and a saddle, in which the saddle is disposed on the crossbeam, and the crossbeam is disposed by crossing the two rails. Each of the two rails is furnished with a driving apparatus for synchronously driving the crossbeam, and the driving apparatus includes a drive motor and a lead screw. This method includes the steps of: obtaining gantry-mechanism information; detecting position information of the saddle on the crossbeam; evaluating the position information and the gantry-mechanism information to derive load-inertia variety information; and, evaluating the load-inertia variety information to adjust torque-output information of the drive motor corresponding to the respective driving apparatus.

Abstract: An embedded file network server based on a seismic data stream includes a broadband power management module, a main control unit, a serial-port-to-RS232 module, a PHY bridge layer, an SD card, and a network interface. The main control unit includes serial port, an SDIO interface, an internal RAM, DMA units, and a MAC drive layer. The main control unit performs seismic data interaction with an external device through the serial port, and receives seismic data through an internal interruption, and the received seismic data stream is stored in the internal RAM. The internal RAM transfers the received seismic data stream to the SDIO interface and MAC driver layer through the DMA units. The SDIO interface stores the seismic data stream in the SD card for data backup. The MAC driver layer is coupled to the PHY bridge layer for inputting and outputting the seismic data stream.

Abstract: It has been discovered that lung tumor growth is associated with a dysregulation of the local microbiota, including an increased total bacterial load and reduced bacterial diversity in the airway. In the lungs, commensal bacteria, which are otherwise non-pathogenic and colonize pulmonary tissue at a much lower density in healthy individuals, provoke chronic inflammation and exacerbation of lung cancer through tumor-infiltrating immune cells. Thus, targeting the lung microbiota and its responding immune pathways is useful in treating lung cancer. Disclosed are compositions and methods targeting the lung microbiota and its responding immune pathways in a subject by specific targeting of commensal bacteria in the subject. Typically, the methods involve administering an effective amount of one or more therapeutics such as an antibiotic that reduces the local bacterial load, blocks or depletes tumor-infiltrating immune cells, and/or locally inhibits one or more cytokines or chemokines.

The training server receives an awareness indication associated with the video and the gaze representations, and trains the neural network based on a comparison of the awareness prediction with the awareness indication.

Abstract: A co-prime transceiver attains higher fill factor, improved side-lobe rejection, and higher lateral resolution per given number of pixels. The co-prime transceiver includes in part, a transmitter array having a multitude of transmitting elements and a receiver array having a multitude of receiving elements. The distance between each pair of adjacent transmitting elements is a first integer multiple of the whole or fraction of the wavelength of the optical. The distance between each pair of adjacent receiving elements is a second integer multiple of the whole or fraction of the wavelength of the optical signal. The first and second integers are co-prime numbers with respect to one another. The transceiver is fully realizable in a standard planar photonics platform in which the spacing between the elements provides sufficient room for optical routing to inner elements.
Abstract: Provided are a new, highly magnetically stable magnetic material which has higher saturation magnetization than ferrite-based magnetic materials, and with which problems of eddy current loss and the like can be solved due to higher electric resistivity than that of existing metal-based magnetic materials, and a method for manufacturing the same. A magnetic material powder is obtained by reducing in hydrogen Ni-ferrite nanoparticies obtained by wet synthesis and causing grain growth, while simultaneously causing nanodispersion of an ?-(Fe, Ni) phase and an Ni-enriched phase by means of a phase dissociation phenomenon due to disproportional reaction. The powder is sintered to obtain a solid magnetic material.
