Abstract: Apparatus, system, and method of depositing thin and ultra-thin parylene are described. In an example, a core deposition chamber is used. The core deposition chamber includes a base and a rigid, removable cover configured to mate and seal with the base to create the core deposition chamber and to define an inside and an outside of the core deposition chamber. The core deposition chamber also includes a conduit through a top of the cover. The conduit has a lumen connecting the inside to the outside of the core deposition chamber. The lumen has a length and a cross-section. The cross-section has a width between 50 ?m and 6000 ?m. The length is less than 140 times the cross-section width. The core deposition chamber can be placed in an outer deposition chamber and can achieve parylene deposition less than 1 ?m thick inside the core deposition chamber.
Abstract: A method for adjusting a seat in a vehicle is presented. The method includes receiving a user input from a passenger to adjust the seat from a default position to a passenger adjusted position. The method also includes predicting, in response to the passenger exiting the vehicle, a likelihood of the passenger returning to the vehicle. The method still further includes maintaining the passenger adjusted position when the likelihood of the passenger returning to the vehicle is greater than a threshold.
Abstract: The ability to communicate with a specific subject at a prescribed location who lacks any communications equipment opens up many intriguing possibilities. Communications across noisy rooms, hail and warn applications, and localized communications directed at only the intended recipient are a few possibilities. We disclose and show localized acoustic communications, which we call photoacoustic communications, with a listener at long standoff distances using a modulated laser transmitted toward the receiver's ear. The optically encoded information is converted into acoustic messages via the photoacoustic effect. The photoacoustic conversion of the optical information into an audible signal occurs via the absorption of the light by ambient water vapor in the near area of the receiver's ear followed by airborne acoustic transmission to the ear. The recipient requires no external communications equipment to receive audible messages.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a video information encoding method comprises: a step of predicting information of the current coding unit to generate prediction information; and a step of determining whether the information of the current coding unit coincides with the prediction information. If the information of the current coding unit coincides with the prediction information, a flag indicating that the information of the current coding unit coincides with the prediction information is encoded and transmitted. If the information of the current coding unit does not coincide with the prediction information, a flag indicating that the information of the current coding unit does not coincide with the prediction information is encoded and transmitted and the information of the current coding unit is encoded and transmitted.

Abstract: The invention provides compositions, kits, and methods for inducing growth arrest, differentiation, or senescence of cancer cells that express thymine DNA glycosylase, and treating the cancer accordingly. The methods comprise inhibiting expression or biologic activity of thymine DNA glycosylase in cancer cells. Inhibition of thymine DNA glycosylase in cancer cells may induce the cells to revert to a healthy, non-cancerous phenotype and/or may induce the cells to senesce. Cancer cells include melanoma, lung, prostate, pancreatic, ovarian, brain, colon, recto-sigmoid colon, and breast cancer cells.

Abstract: A feed gas feeding system for a propylene ammoxidation reactor comprises a feed gas mixing system and a feed distributor, wherein a propylene and ammonia mixed gas is mixed by the feed gas mixing system and then uniformly distributed in the propylene ammoxidation reactor by the feed distributor. The initial temperature T0 when the propylene and ammonia mixed gas enters the feed distributor is 10-220° C. The feed gas feeding system can prevent the temperature of the gas mixture at any position in the feed distributor from reaching a temperature at which ammonia decomposes into active nitrogen atoms, thereby reducing a risk of brittle nitriding fractures of the feed distributor.

Abstract: A computing system trains a reinforcement learning model comprising multiple different attention model components. The reinforcement learning model trains on training data of a first environment (e.g., a first traffic intersection). The reinforcement learning model trains by training a state attention computer model on the training data that weighs each of respective inputs of a respective state. The reinforcement learning model trains by training an action attention computer model that determines a probability of switching from a first action to a second action of the first set of the multiple candidate actions (e.g., changing traffic colors of traffic lights). Alternatively, or additionally, a computing system generates an indication of a selected outcome according to the reinforcement learning model and sends a selection output to the second environment (e.g., a second traffic intersection with more lanes than the first traffic intersection) to implement the selected action in the second environment.
