    Abstract: There are provided a method and a system for image segmentation utilizing a GAN architecture. A method for training an image segmentation network according to an embodiment includes: inputting an image to a first network which is trained to output a region segmentation result regarding an input image, and generating a region segmentation result; and inputting the region segmentation result generated at the generation step and a ground truth (GT) to a second network, and acquiring a discrimination result, the second network being trained to discriminate inputted region segmentation results as a result generated by the first network and a GT, respectively; and training the first network and the second network by using the discrimination result. Accordingly, region segmentation performance of a semantic segmentation network regarding various images can be enhanced, and a very small image region can be exactly segmented.

    Abstract: A simulation method for dynamic contact characteristics of a high-speed heavy-load ball bearing in a liquid rocket engine, mainly including: establishing a low-speed heavy-load ball bearing model of a liquid rocket engine according to a normal contact stress of a ball bearing, and performing iterative computation on the low-speed heavy-load ball bearing model of the liquid rocket engine to obtain static contact characteristics of the heavy-load ball bearing; establishing a high-speed heavy-load ball bearing model of the liquid rocket engine based on a theory of quasi-static analysis; and taking computed values for the static contact characteristics of the heavy-load ball bearing as initial values, substituting the initial values into the high-speed heavy-load ball bearing model, and performing iterative operation through a dual-population co-evolutionary particle swarm optimization (CPSO) algorithm to obtain dynamic contact characteristics of each of balls in the ball bearing.

Here, generating the prediction image includes: checking, from the syntax information, prediction mode accuracy for a current block to be decoded; determining whether the checked prediction mode accuracy corresponds to most probable mode (MPM) information obtained from the syntax information; and when the checked prediction mode accuracy does not correspond to the MPM information, reconfiguring the MPM information according to the prediction mode accuracy for the current block.

According to one aspect, one or more oscillating heat pipes (OHPs) are provided within functional elements of the EP system. Each OHP includes channel segments that include a sealed working fluid. The channel segments are joined to form a continuous serpentine channel with a channel path that alternates between hot and cold regions of the EP system. According to another aspect, the functional elements of the EP system are reduced to a single monolithic structure with an embedded OHP. The single monolithic structure may be a single material or a multi material. According to yet another aspect, the functional elements are elements of a magnetic circuit of the EP system, including one or more of a backplate, an outer pole, an inner pole, or a center pole.
