  • Patent number: 12077589
Abstract: An IFN-anti-PD-L1 fusion protein, a pharmaceutical composition and a kit containing the same for treating tumors are disclosed. The IFN-anti-PD-L1 fusion protein of the present invention can simultaneously target PD-L1 and IFN receptors, and the activation of IFN signals in a tumor microenvironment (TME) can enhance the PD-1/PD-L1 therapy against tumors by inducing stronger T cell activation. The anti-PD-L1 antibody can be used to specifically deliver immunomodulatory molecules to tumor tissues, and the fusion protein results in the generation of multiple feedforward responses, which can increase the targeting effect, reduce the toxicity, and enhance the response to IFN therapy, thereby maximizing the anti-tumor effect.

  • Publication number: 20240286123
Abstract: An anion exchange membrane is composed of a copolymer of 1,1-diphenylethylene and one or more styrene monomers, such as 4-tert-butylstyrene. The copolymer includes a backbone substituted with a plurality of ionic groups coupled to phenyl groups on the backbone via hydrocarbyl tethers between about 1 and about 7 carbons in length. High-temperature conditions enabled by these copolymers enhance conductivity performance, making them particularly suitable for use in anion exchange membranes in fuel cells, electrolyzers employing hydrogen, ion separations, etc. The properties of the membranes can be tuned via the degree of functionalization of the phenyl groups and selection of the functional groups, such as quaternary ammonium groups. Several processes can be used to incorporate the desired ionic functional groups into the polymers, such as chloromethylation, radical bromination, Friedel-Crafts acylation and alkylation, sulfonation followed by amination, or combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20240288711
Abstract: An objective of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a soft ocular lens in which the surface of the lens is hydrophilized by means of plasma processing, wherein a substrate surface can be sufficiently hydrophilized by performing, once, a reaction between the substrate and a hydrophilic polymer. Another object of the present invention is to provide a soft ocular lens with sufficient hydrophilicity which comprises only one layer comprising a hydrophilic polymer on a substrate surface. A substrate comprising a hydrocarbon group-containing polysiloxane is subjected to plasma processing with an inert gas such as nitrogen, to form a radical including Si—CH2 on the substrate surface, and produce radical rearrangement with a hydrophilic polymer, thereby causing the hydrophilic polymer to bind to the substrate surface by recombination of a radical generated in the hydrophilic polymer with the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20240290105
Abstract: A method for sequential point cloud forecasting is described. The method includes training a vector-quantized conditional variational autoencoder (VQ-CVAE) framework to map an output to a closest vector in a discrete latent space to obtain a future latent space. The method also includes outputting, by a trained VQ-CVAE, a categorical distribution of a probability of V vectors in a discrete latent space in response to an input previously sampled latent space and past point cloud sequences. The method further includes sampling an inferred future latent space from the categorical distribution of the probability of the V vectors in the discrete latent space. The method also includes predicting a future point cloud sequence according to the inferred future latent space and the past point cloud sequences. The method further includes denoising, by a denoising diffusion probabilistic model (DDPM), the predicted future point cloud sequences according to an added noise.
