Abstract: A speech analysis apparatus is provided. An F0 extraction part extracts a pitch value from speech information. A spectrum extraction part extracts spectrum information from the speech information. An MVF extraction part extract a maximum voiced frequency and allows boundary information for respectively filtering a harmonic component and a non-harmonic component to be obtained. According to the speech analysis apparatus, speech synthesis apparatus, and speech analysis synthesis system of the present invention, speech that is closer to the original voice and is more natural may be synthesized. Also, speech may be represented with less data capacity.

Abstract: Texture features of images are calculated for recognition of pixel sets in the images as one category among multiple candidate categories. For example, wavelet transformation is applied to obtain a wavelet vector. Via analyzing components of the wavelet vector, one pixel set may be recognized as part of an architecture object or a natural plant object. In addition, line segments within the pixel sets may be calculated and their statistics result may be used for recognizing different objects.
Abstract: An apparatus comprises: a microscope objective focused on a microscope field of view; a light source including a laser generating an astigmatic beam and optics configured to couple the astigmatic beam into the microscope objective to produce high aspect ratio illumination at the microscope field of view; and a data acquisition system configured to generate data pertaining to light emanating from the microscope field of view responsive to the high aspect ratio illumination. The apparatus may be a Raman spectroscopy system. The laser may be an edge emitting laser. The optics of the light source may include an aspherical lens arranged to compensate the astigmatism of the astigmatic beam. The optics of the light source may include a diffraction grating arranged respective to the laser to provide feedback reducing a spectral full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the astigmatic beam.
Abstract: A fringe image phase distribution analysis technique that performs one-dimensional discrete Fourier transform using temporal intensity information or spatial intensity information to calculate the phase distribution of the fringe image. To improve the analysis accuracy of the phase distribution, a plurality of phase-shifted moiré fringe images is generated from high-dimensional intensity data by a thinning-out (down-sampling) process and an image interpolation process, and the phase distribution of the moiré fringe is calculated by a two-dimensional or three-dimensional discrete Fourier transform. In addition, the phase distribution of thinned-out is added to calculate the phase distribution of an original fringe image. Since high-dimensional intensity information which is present in both spatio-domain and temporal-domain is used, phase distribution analysis is less likely to be affected by random noise or vibration.

Abstract: In an embodiment, control is performed to operate a three-way valve in accordance with a reaching ratio of pH adjustment. When process of certain steps is performed, bubbles of ammonia generated in a nebulizer can be extruded by air so as to be injected from an injection port together with aqua ammonia remaining in the nebulizer. Therefore, the pH adjustment can be performed while a large amount of bubbles of ammonia are prevented from being generated in the nebulizer.
